Been geeking this morning on the number of flights having to go around

Noticed several Gatwick and Luton flights diverting to Stanstead

Check out DI7018 JFK- Gatwick

Two attempts at Gatwick, seemed to be heading for Stanstead, but now the Norwegian airlines crew seem to be taking everyone home with them!

I'm finding it reassuring that I've only had one emergency alert since I switched the alerts on a few hours ago when you consider how many flights are in the air across the world at one time! I had always assumed emergencies would be really common. Or does it only give alerts for flights from the UK? I did find it odd that out of all the flights the very first alert I get is for one in England.

Yeah I've just watched it land at Manchester. There's still the Wroclaw and a Newquay plane trying to land there!

There's a Newquay flight following the Wroclaw st Leeds Bradford now too, just a small plane. Must be scary 😰

There's a flight heading down from Aberdeen to Birmingham, hope the weather is better in Birmingham than it is here that's all I can say.

The Amsterdam plane looked like it was going to land, carried on but now is frozen on my screen.

The Amsterdam climbed a couple of hundred feet then it froze. Seems to be on the ground now though. Wonder how some manage and others don't .. pilot expertise? Also wonder why they keep trying when so many others fail. All quite fascinating

No. It's because the gusts of wind are different each time.

Yeah, AMS seemed funny, looked like it was rising again, no idea what happened. Newquay looks like it might be coming back.

Or Newquay is just completely lost!

Looks like it's turned towards Stockport so my money is on Manchester.

It looked like it was heading for Manchester then it started to loop back slightly, but maybe just waiting for a slot at Manchester.

I wondered if it was heading for Doncaster at one point! Maybe it’s coming back to Newquay

Krakow looks like it hasn't even attempted to land at Leeds and is going to head off to Manchester as well

The alerts are worldwide I think, j had one for America earlier (or yesterday).

Does anyone know if Air Ambulances show on FR24? One landed by us earlier, but didn't show on FR24, yet I could see the East Anglia AA yesterday.
