Been geeking this morning on the number of flights having to go around

Noticed several Gatwick and Luton flights diverting to Stanstead

Check out DI7018 JFK- Gatwick

Two attempts at Gatwick, seemed to be heading for Stanstead, but now the Norwegian airlines crew seem to be taking everyone home with them!

Flight from Geneva is BA2749. Looks like it's landing at Lyon

You can see where they've been diverted to on FlightRadar. BA8 is going to MUC.

I was on a flight from Lubljiana several years ago which got all the way to Gatwick, aborted, stopped for refuelling at Schipol and then went all the way back to Lubljiana!

I'm trying to post a photo @Sexnotgender but it won't let me even though I've been on Mumsnet for years.

In the search tab you can click on the details of the flight and it tells you where they've been diverted.

I was watching that, apparently it still had way too much fuel. It certainly came down with a thump, the pilots were certainly earning their money today.

Is anyone else following LA8084 from Sau Paolo? Its has had a few attempts at landing in London and now seems to be flying to France

The smaller planes seem to be landing okay, I would have thought they would be more likely to be blown off course.
