Weird things our bodies do

ffswhatnext · 06/02/2020 11:58

I have a number of health issues to begin with and over the past couple of months I have proper hunger pains just before sneezing. (Will chat to gp at next review)

So what weird stuff does your body do?

INeedToGetHealthy no problem with my thyroid as far as I know! Never noticed it until a few months ago when I happened to be rubbing my throat and noticed it moving round and clicking. It doesn’t look particularly big or anything troubling!

Laurie the itchy roof of mouth followed by the nasty cold- zap your nose with First Defence as soon as you get the itchy thing.

I get a soapy, talcy back-of-nasal-cavity feel when I'm getting a cold. Go go go the First Defence.

Stops it in its tracks, 9/10.

sparkylove · 09/02/2020 00:54

@emptyorchestra apparently it's called a coregasm

I was making crumble mix earlier and the flour/butter between my fingers was making me cringe uncontrollably. Like hearing nails down a blackboard.

When I sing, it makes my eyes tear up.

Also, I can wiggle my ears #talent

susandelgado · 09/02/2020 01:04

Not me but my cousin has never had to shave her armpits or legs because no hair grows there!

Clevererthanyou · 09/02/2020 01:25

I don’t have any weird superpowers like you legends but my body is oddy Grin because; despite suffering from horrendous chronic back pain for seven years and being rendered immobile by how bad it is, I can bend completely in half and put both hands flat on the floor Confused That in itself doesn’t hurt. I can also put my legs behind my head without being injured but my wrists and fingers don’t bend abnormally so I can’t be double jointed, go figure!

NotAQueef · 09/02/2020 01:37

I sometimes get a buzzing/vibration in my vulva. Like a phone vibrating there

MushroomTree · 09/02/2020 09:23

I feel very nauseous before sneezing sometimes. Almost to the point of being sick but then I do a few big sneezes and feel fine again. It's horrible as there have been times when I've genuinely not been sure if I'm going to be sick or if I'll need to sneeze soon.

ffswhatnext · 09/02/2020 11:58

@MushroomTree
It’s horrible isn’t it? I get that hunger and think am I going to sneeze or puke.

OP posts:
MushroomTree · 09/02/2020 12:02

@ffswhatnext it is. The amount of times I've ended up sat by the toilet only to do a few massive sneezes and feel totally fine.

Ninkanink · 09/02/2020 12:10

My body has never done this, but I think decidual casts are fascinating.

janaus50s · 09/02/2020 12:14

If I see someone get hurt, Either in real life or on TV, I feel that pain.

Be1atrix · 09/02/2020 15:56

@theluckiest my belly button used to do this, absolutely gross. I put talc powder in there now after every shower and it's totally stopped it, not sure why

Be1atrix · 09/02/2020 15:57

Mine is: I feel SUPER nauseous/sickly without warning every time I need a poo. I head to the toilet, do a poo and it goes away straight away.

Maddiemademe · 09/02/2020 17:00

I don’t sweat anywhere except under my breast implants. They themselves are icy cold (above muscle) and sat up straighter than straight so no crease but can’t wear tight tops unless I want massive stains underneath Hmm

namechangenumber2 · 10/02/2020 16:03

I get painful eyebrows Grin As in if I brush them the wrong way. Sometimes my head hair does the same Confused

I've no Idea why?!

Cheeryandmerry · 12/02/2020 20:41

Can’t remember if it was on here but I’m sure I’ve seen it mentioned before.... there’s something about the particular smell of a bookshop that 9/10 times makes me need a poo Hmm

Asthenia · 13/02/2020 15:46

this is such a weird one but my feet seem to be connected to my bits! Whenever I have a wax and the hot wax goes on, the soles of my feet start to sweat. If the soles of my feet itch, so does my vagina. Very odd!

sueelleker · 13/02/2020 17:38

Alicenwonderland
You're not having absence seizures are you? My husband gets these; just goes vacant for a few minutes.

If I walk barefoot on a rough surface I get a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Zaphodsotherhead · 13/02/2020 17:46

I use an inhaler for my asthma, without a spacer. Now, whenever I see anyone use an inhaler, irl or on TV, I find myself breathing in hard as they press down on it. Can also 'blow out' my ears without closing my eyes and get 'fanny clench' at heights.

Yes I do this my hubby always tells me off when I do it 😂😂

Your message made me laugh

Twospaniels · 13/02/2020 19:03

The soles of my feet burn when approaching orgasm - someone else posted that too!

I hate anything to do with tummy buttons, makes me get butterflies in my stomach. If I put my finger in my tummy button I feel it in my vagina!

Sometimes when I yawn a jet of spit or water shoots out from below my tongue

Whatsbrownandsticky · 13/02/2020 19:20

My bum and hips get really cold to the touch during the first few days of my period, and if I don't get them warmed up (hot water bottle) then my period pains won't go away.
