What is a luxury item you would never buy, regardless of your ability to afford it?

i would say a sports car , just want one that works.

I've seen some posts saying they would never have a nanny for example. I've had a nanny when kids were younger, it was cheaper than childcare outside the home for the number of children I had.

I doubt I'd change much. I would certainly never buy the latest phone, latest car etc. Can't be arsed. But I do have some stuff in my house that is a bit daft. Like my huge living room rug made to measure from liberty carpet. Unnecessary to some but I adore it.
