I haven't ever met any famous people.

I've just finished working with Ashley Banjo and Diversity for the second time. They are all lovely, fun and very hard-working. Jordan is a terrible giggler.

StKnickerloss · 05/01/2020 10:53

lots but i did work for the BBC

Prince - shy, clever, beautiful
Jonah Lomu - simply a god and he winked at me.
Red Hot Chilli peppers - Anthony is a dick, Flea is adorable
HRH Queen - amazing skin
Princess Diana - funny and clever - really!
Freddie Mercury - Made you feel like you were the only person he wanted to talk to, we talked in depth about pineapple on pizza...
Jill Dando - hooked my arm when i got lost in television centre on my first day and said "i'm new too, lets get found together"

out of work, i was at a wedding which Anthony head was also attending. he had his newborn with him and as we stood for the bride the baby was sick in a perfect line down his back.
he didn't care, made him more attractive

Lots more but those stand out

skatesbythesea · 05/01/2020 13:47

Does anyone remember the car advert that went 'Jack proposed, said ok!'?

I met the actor on a hedonistic night out with friends on early 00's, I called him Jack all night Grin

BatleyTownswomensGuild · 05/01/2020 13:52

Griff Rhys Jones, (I've heard he's known for being a bit of a grumpy bugger but I found him really nice.)

I made a total tit of myself in front of Michael Palin once. (I've adored him for years so when I unexpectedly found myself face to face with him, I was totally star struck and couldn't get a word out.) He was very gracious about it.

skatesbythesea · 05/01/2020 13:52

Also Kate Tempest, she is v sweet

skatesbythesea · 05/01/2020 13:53

The drummer from Seal gave me free tickets to their show when I served him at a restaurant. We never went backstage, idiots!

GidgetGirl · 05/01/2020 14:08

Loads through DP over the years, but the most stand-out genuinely lovely in recent months have been Michael Sheen and Clive Anderson.

Trying to think if anyone has been actively unpleasant.. No one immediately springs to mind, although I remember Angus Deayton being pretty dour and gloomy.

Not me, but DH was on a business trip and met Tony Hadley as he was staying in the same hotel. Just him and his manager. I’m going back about 25 years. He sat in the bar with DH and others and chatted away for hours. I’ve still got his autograph on a bar mat. DH said he was so down to earth.

Glad Maxine Peake is nice. She was on a train DD was on a while back.
DD is a fan and was impressed she was sat in economy.

Jane Horrocks told me off at Euston for not letting her in an already overpacked lift Hmm

John Barrowman in Barbados, very friendly.

Also, not a celeb as such, but Eddie Braben, who wrote for Morcambe and Wise. He lived near us and honestly, a more charming and unassuming man, I have yet to meet.

Jo Brand - she admired my hair and was lovely

Jilly Cooper - who is tiny and there are photos of us which look like the pair of us were drunk and hanging on to one another.

Rev Richard Coles - who gave me a lovely kiss and was very jolly. Really hope he's all right after the death of his partner.
