New thread for a new year!

A diary thread for our daily meals, to record, share, glean menu inspiration and chat, but no judging each other’s food choices.

B - muesli/overnight oats, flaxseed, kiwi, yoghurt
L - feta cheese, beetroot and carrot salad
Almond butter cup, a pear
D - pasta with spicy tomato sauce, tuna, spring greens
Grapes
And a freshly baked peanut butter cookie in a bit

S: salted caramel tea cake (80 calories!), popcorn cereal bar

B- multigrain porridge made with almond milk
S- 2 rich teas
L- itsu katsu instant noodles
S- popchips, a plum
D- mixed bean chilli and mexican rice, a few tortilla chips
S- hot cross bun with butter, a banana and some greek yoghurt

Lots of tea with milk and honey
Piece of cinnamon raisin toast with peanut butter
One breakfast cookie

Gf pasta all'amatriciana at a lunch outing with colleagues

M&S cauliflower rice and chicken tikka masala Count On Us meal with added cayenne and Greek yogurt as garnish

Some grapes, plus finished a pear my daughter had demolished (cut off all her weird jagged toddler bite marks)

Many lozenges throughout the day.

Now having a hot toddy made with fresh boiled ginger, lemon, lots of honey, slug of brandy. Hoping to sleep early.

B - shreddies with milk and banana
L - Covent Garden vegan bean soup, ryvitas, Stilton and cherry tomatoes
D - jacket potato, beans, broccoli and soya escalope.
S - satsuma, handful of nuts, a few chocolates.

B - crunchy nut cornflakes, coffee with milk and a glass of juice.
L - 2 bramley apple sausages, skinny fries and baked beans.
D - quorn and mushrooms with cauliflower rice in tomato sauce.

S - wotsits, Diet Coke, sprite. Some cookie pie.

Usual oats etc for breakfast (it appears in a creature of habit!) and coconut lamb curry for lunch. Dinner was pasta pot after a hard bootcamp session so I thoroughly deserved the slice of cheesecake I had afterwards

S: natural yoghurt, a kiwi, spoonful of peanut butter
D: sausage, homemade chips and beans

D: Cornflakes and milk

D - a veggie burger in wholemeal bun with cheese and pickles, grated carrot, salad

Oats etc this morning, lamb and coconut curry for lunch, two mint club bars after giving blood and baked sausage risotto for dinner. I'm feeling a bit chilly though so might have a hot chocolate in a bit.

B - porridge with golden syrup.

L - vegan bean soup with M&S high protein rice cakes (nice and really filling), avocado, sliced tomatoes and houmous.

D - bean and quorn mince chilli with wild rice, creme fraiche, cheese and salsa.

S - satsuma, grapes, fibre one brownie with a cuppa.

Massive bowl of coco pops for breakfast! (DMIL brought them over for DS but he won't miss them - he doesn't even know what they are lol). Lamb and coconut curry for lunch. I was going to do sausage and lentil casserole for dinner but changed my mind as DS won't eat it and I really don't fancy it so it's comfort food of sausage, oven chips and fried egg instead.

B: slice of toast with peanut butter
L: 2 cheese & biscuits
D: chicken tikka masala with rice, mini naan, poppadoms & chutney
Lemon cheesecake in the evening

Appetite much better today--
B: Greek yogurt with raspberries, nuts & honey; bowl of orange and kiwi
L: pasta with roasted peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, rocket, feta and garlic oil
S: pear, pistaschios and a chocolate biscuit with a cup of tea
D: quesadillas and salad
Gotta do some ironing so night might have a glass of wine to get me through it Grin

A fried egg and half a chocolate twist pastry
Tea with milk and honey (just the first of many through the day)
Finished the leftover pho for lunch
Half a package of M&S chicken with veg broth with some crackers
May have a scrambled egg before bed
Will have a hot toddy with lemon, honey, and brandy later. This plus pholcodine is the only way I have been getting to sleep with my cough, though I realise the combination is a bit questionable.

S- two mini gingerbread men and some popchips
D- 1/2 a ham and pineapple stonebaked pizza and salad
S- oreo ice cream sandwich, a banana, a crumpet with PB

we're away tomorrow until Monday for a wedding so I expect more booze than food!

Yesterday was a weird day and food was a bit scrappy.

B - usual
L - butternut squash soup
D - two buttered crumpets, rosemary cracker with cream cheese, a pear
Snacks - two oatmeal raisin cookies, a little slice of chocolate brownie, an energy ball, a few walnuts, two squares of white chocolate

Yesterday:

B- skyr with raspberries.

L- vegan beanball wrap with red cabbage.

D-tofu stroganoff.

2 coffees with oat milk; 1 0% beer: 1glass of Malbec

Slice of coffee and walnut cake.

I was out all day, so had nice food made for me!
