New thread for a new year!

A diary thread for our daily meals, to record, share, glean menu inspiration and chat, but no judging each other’s food choices.

Let’s include some recipe-sharing in this thread Smile

I have eaten loads. Still sick with a bad cold

Gluten free pain au Chocolat pastry
4 pieces of toast (from a baguette, so small!) With butter and strawberry jam
Green bean and mushroom stir-fry with some leftover chicken
Square of dark chili chocolate
Rocket, sweet corn, stilton, sun dried tomato, kalamata, and roast chicken salad
Many, many cups of tea (mix of strong English and decaff through the day) with honey and milk. Also some herbal tea

AwkwardSquad · 28/02/2020 06:46

L - carrot and lentil soup; oatcakes; a pear
D - pasta with tuna and mayo
Snacks - three oatcakes with peanut butter; a Graze box

I had the usual oats etc for breakfast and no lunch!!! DS has been a big pickle all day as he's very tired and still got a bit of a cold so has been out of sorts. I did manage to have half an apple before we headed out to playgroup this afternoon though (DS had the other half) and I'll be making sag aloo with chicken for dinner shortly (DS will probably refuse to eat it and end up with weetabix instead but that's a battle for another day). There will also be a glass of wine (or three) once he's finally in bed asleep!!!

The tapas really was. No one else ever wants the superfood salad when we order to share but it was just for me...edamame beans, tenderstem broccoli, seeds leaves and beetroot hummus. Really good.

Nuttyaboutnutella · 28/02/2020 21:40

Tempname
It's so easy to do isn't it. To be fair, I don't normally. I just get ravenous in the days leading up to my period, especially for cheese and Chocolate!

No breakfast here today (apart from a couple of bits of scrambled eggs that DS shoved at my face). Lunch was a cheeseburger in a roll and dinner will be epic: Rump steak, rice, mushrooms and Caesar salad - all cooked by DH as he said I deserve a night off. Have already got a run and coke in had too Smile
