New thread for a new year!

A diary thread for our daily meals, to record, share, glean menu inspiration and chat, but no judging each other’s food choices.

Let’s include some recipe-sharing in this thread Smile

Breakfast - porridge and grapes
Lunch - big bowl of homemade minestrone soup with grated Parmesan, a couple of dark chocolates.
Dinner - most likely a jacket potato with beans and cheese with the dc's, as dh is out for dinner tonight.
Snack - satsuma and chocolate.

Am feeling better today - a day of rest and tablets (and skipping bootcamp) must have helped me get over the coldy feelings I had! DS however is full of it and spreading snot everywhere Envy
I had my usual oats, blueberries and yoghurt for breakfast then salmon with pepper stew and rice for lunch. Dinner will be ham egg and chips later. Might also see if DH fancies popping to the shop on his way home for a drink or two for us.

Good that you’re feeling better today, Rocky, but sorry to hear about the snot demon 🤧

B - muesli, flaxseed, berries, yoghurt
L - carrot and lentil soup, oatcakes, an orange
Quite a lot of grapes
Dinner will be smoked haddock and leek soup with a granary roll, then a cookie

B: 2 slices of toast with marmalade, tea
S: banana
L: falafel, hummus & rocket wrap with crudités; orange segments; natural yoghurt
S: dark chocolate digestive and shared some of my son's kinder chocolate
D: lentil & bacon Soup, with 2 crackers & cheese
Gotta make my son's birthday cake tonight (and wrap presents!) So I'm tempted to have a glass of wine.

Jumping on this as I need to lose a bit of weight and change what I eat, it's the mindset shift I need as I eat way more than most on these threads!

Today, day 1
Breakfast: overnight oats made with skimmed milk, Skyr yoghurt and berries
Lunch: chicken breast fillet with a splash of Nando's sauce, salad with cucumber, peppers etc
Dinner: risotto with onion, peas and bacon
Snacks: walkers sunbites, apple, 2 x tiny satsumas, hard boiled egg, popcorn cereal bar, muller light yoghurt

Didn't have all those snacks at the same time, naturally, they were spaced out through the day/acted as a dessert!

B- cinnamon raisin bagel with fat free cream cheese
S- 2 plums
L- costa ham and cheese toastie
S- veggie straws, another plum
D- chicken chow mein (home made)
S- hot cross bun with butter, a freddo, a fun size curly wurly and two rich teas

Thanks @AwkwardSquad I can cope with a snot fountain if I'm not poorly myself. Weirdly I'm regretting skipping bootcamp yesterday now but at least I've got tomorrow night to make up for it!

B - porridge, seeds & dried fruit mix, honey
S - banana
L - leftover chickpea, spinach and cauliflower curry
S - pot of mixed nuts, raisins, apricots
D - salmon stir fry. Raspberry yoghurt

Just now - 2 teaspoons of crunchy peanut butter, a few raisins and a tiny bit of Nutella. Hungry still but going to bed now before any more snacking takes place.

L: tuna cheese melt wrap, crudités, hummus. Bowl of natural yoghurt.
S: 2 m&s cookies, handful of pringles
D: fusilli pasta with roasted peppers, olives, sun-dried tomatoes, rocket, parmesan, garlic oil (bloody delicious!)
I'll have a hot chocolate later.

I had two slices of whole meal toast and butter for breakfast for a change! Cheese, leek and ham pasta n sauce for lunch which I shared with DS and homemade chicken schnitzel with bulgar wheat and spinach for dinner. I'll have a chocolate muffin in a little while once DH has finished putting DS to bed.

S- mini gingerbread man, popchips (I need an intervention!)
D- peppered steak linguine with rocket (very pasta heavy week!)

I've eaten far too much today Blush lots of mindless nibbling between meals
Breakfast- museli with milk
Lunch - minestrone soup and a boiled egg
Dinner- smoked haddock and spinach risotto and a glass of wine
Snacks- rice cake with peanut butter, crisps, some after eights chocs, bowl of ice cream and an apple!
