Oats etc for breakfast today and homemade chicken and aubergine balti for lunch. Went out and got a M&S dine in meal for us tonight: scotch eggs to start, then steak and chips with tender stem broccoli, onions and mushroom and peppercorn sauce with lemon tart for pudding (poss with some ice cream). The great thing is they DH doesn't like wine/Prosecco etc so I get that all to myself!

WhereShallWeMoveTo · 14/02/2020 17:48

Black coffee x 2

Sugar free squash x 2

No breakfast

Lunch: some tuna mixed with red onion, red pepper and mayo

A small handful of grated cheddar

Dinner: Spicy roasted cauliflower with a yoghurt and pomegranate dressing, fresh mint and Coriander.

I’m still a bit hungry. Might have some cheese and nuts.

No wine again even though it’s Friday. 6 days no booze 😇

Shockers · 14/02/2020 18:08

B- nothing (I was having surgery)

L- jacket potato with butter and salad; banana.

D- butternut squash soup; salad with tuna and egg; carrot cake.

Lots of water and a saline drip. Drugs- many drugs (they make me itch)!

I could get used to having 3 course meals made for me though... Grin

mamaduckbone · 14/02/2020 18:16

B - porridge, raisins, syrup
L -tomato and lentil soup, small cherry bake well

AwkwardSquad · 14/02/2020 19:35

Sending healing wishes for a good recovery and decent snacks, @Shockers

onlyhereforthefood same here, I've actually dropped a pound 😑
Not feeling too good yesterday (full of cold, shivery, run down to barely any appetite)
B: slice of toast with hazelnut butter, tea
L: a cup a soup and half a banana
D: freezer Friday! A cheddar, spinach and leek lattice thing, chips and beans. Didn't really enjoy it but needed some food in my system.
Had a hot chocolate in the evening

dellacucina · 15/02/2020 09:46

Yesterday:
Espresso with loads of milk
Enormous piece of fried fish and a roasted carrot, mushroom, and rocket salad
Two cups of sweet, milky tea

I met a friend for drinks and dinner. We ended up getting the optional enormous valentine's Day spread which was modified to be both gluten free and vegetarian! I can't remember all the dishes, but it included Baba ghanoush, house made pickles, a wood fired beetroot skewer, bread with fancy butter, two salad-y plates (one with roasted fennel and chunks of cheese and the other with roasted mushrooms), wood-fired butternut squash with some kind of sauce, and creme caramel to finish.
Several glasses of red wine and one glass of frizzante that came with the dinner

I ended it with a decaff espresso

dellacucina · 15/02/2020 09:53

@AwkwardSquad I don't have a recipe! I threw together peanut butter, garlic, soy sauce, cayenne, rice wine vinegar, and white wine to thin it out. I would probably add lime and grated ginger if I had some, and would have used mirin if I didn't have the wine to get rid of.

AwkwardSquad · 15/02/2020 11:28

Thanks, dellacucina, I’ll experiment! Your dinner yesterday sounds utterly delicious :)

I had a chocolate and salted caramel hot cross bun for breakfast and the little bit of leftover pasta from DS's lunch that he didn't want. Will be having a huge ham and mushroom pizza to myself in front of the telly later along with a few glasses of wine to drown my sorrows of not being pregnant again this month Sad

mamaduckbone · 15/02/2020 17:27

B - small bowl of fruit and fibre
L - herby garlic mushrooms on a slice of seedy bread with avocado, spinach and a poached egg. 2 milky coffees.

D - will be Singapore noodles.
Not left the house today, full of cold and snacking.
