New thread for a new year!

A diary thread for our daily meals, to record, share, glean menu inspiration and chat, but no judging each other’s food choices.

rockyismyrhino hope your little one perks up soon. My toddler has been grumpy as hell today! Not like him but he was up most of the night and full of cold. It's tough going some days.

Redpriestandmozart I absolutely love black bean enchiladas (and fajitas). Haven't had them in forever, as I need to accommodate a fussy family 😆

PMS has hit so on top of today's food, I've also been picking at my son's food that he wouldn't touch (breadstick, pasta, ham, rice crispy cake etc)
B: nut granola with milk, banana and blueberries, tea
L: pasta with roasted vegetables and feta cheese with a drizzle of chilli oil. Yoghurt with mango coulis. Apple. Pistaschios.
S: coffee and a slice of toast with apricot jam
D: homemade cheeseburger and chips, with salad.
Just had a couple of Lindt balls.

Had my usual oats blueberries and yoghurt for breakfast today and beef, butternut and coconut stew for lunch. Dinner will be chicken and pesto gnocchi. I'm currently treating myself to a brownie while I wait to get a drastic hair cut! Wish me luck!

B - blueberry wheats, orange juice and coffee.
L - veggie soup with two slices of bread and butter.
D - beef casserole with winter veggies and rice.

Drinks - 2 x coffee, 1 x apple juice, 1 x raspberry Pepsi
Snacks - 2 x salt and vinegar rice cakes, fruit salad.

Morning- Latte

Lunch- vegan mac n cheese with sweet potato, beetroot and kale with green salad - from work canteen

Dinner- shepherds pie and peas

No snacks!

@RockyisMYRhino a drastic haircut is just necessary every now and then. Transformative. How did it go?

B - usual
A clementine and a flapjack cookie
L - bean salad made with chickpeas, sweetcorn, grated carrot and various other bits and pieces to try to make it more interesting. Ended up quite tasty.
Grapes and oatcakes
D - mushroom omelette, salad; a crème caramel

B: Weetabix with banana, tea
S: 2 malted milk biscuits
L: ham, cheddar & tomato omelette. Melon slices and half an orange (shared with the baby), pistaschios, natural yoghurt.
D: jacket potato with chicken and sweetcorn, and salad.

I'll have a hot chocolate or cup of tea with a few Lindt balls soon.

B - granola bar and latte in a cafe
L - mozzarella toastie, hot chocolate with cream
D - poke bowl, an avocado, 3 satsumas

Work

Granola bar/tea
Ham and chutney sandwich, an orange and some grapes.

3 mugs of tea.

Home at 6pm.

Grilled chicken, jacket potato and salad.

Leftover apple and blackberry pie for breakfast today so had oats blueberries and yoghurt to make up for it a bit at lunch. Dinner will be spaghetti bolognese is which I'm sure DS will 'help' me make. He's got very good at stirring a pot recently

S- handful popchips from a big bag, freddo bar, stollen bite, banana

L: spicy carrot and lentil soup, a cheese and chutney roll, an apple, and yoghurt
S: coffee, and orange segments
D: cottage pie with tenderstem broccoli and peas.

Two dark chocolate Lindt balls.

Usual muesli etc yesterday, then bean salad for lunch, an orange, a Nakd bar, peanut butter on oatcakes and a pear.

Today, muesli etc, half a rock bun, grapes, a salmon salad, smoked mackerel pâté with lots of different salads and an oat molasses cookie.

Usual oats blueberries and yoghurt for breakfast here then two slices of eggy bread for lunch. Made meatballs for dinner with rice and tomato sauce but was very disappointed with them. For some reason they were really bland!
