New thread for a new year!

A diary thread for our daily meals, to record, share, glean menu inspiration and chat, but no judging each other’s food choices.

Let’s include some recipe-sharing in this thread Smile

B: porridge with banana, blueberries & almonds. Lots of tea.
L: spicy lentil soup with bread and butter. Yoghurt with mango coulis. Small slice of chocolate loaf cake.
S: coffee, Quavers (that my son decided he didn't want), few chocolates, apple slices with peanut butter.
D: cod with parsley sauce, mashed potatoes, carrots, tender stem broccoli, peas.
Just had a hot chocolate and toast with apricot jam.

Starving today and could eat something else but need to catch up on sleep.

B : not massively hungry so just had a small bowl of granola with blueberries and raspberries, tea
S: cup of tea and shortbread biscuit
L: tuna pasta salad, blackcurrant yoghurt, water, tea
S: lots of coffee, apple and an orange.
D: proper comfort food as I got sausages from the butchers yesterday so had cheese and potato pie with sausages and beans.

Going to have a cup of tea and few chocolates now.

Breakfast 2 boiled eggs, one slice of toast no butter (I hate it)

Lunch apple and leak and potato soup

Snack banana and pack of pea snaps

Dinner: chicken breast and huge salad, light mayo

Drinks coffee with milk 1.5 litre of water, two diet cokes.

That's it for now, early night for me.

B- two boiled eggs, and apple and a carrot.
L- a bowl of homemade tomato soup with grated cheese.
D- green lentils with leeks, carrots, spinach and peas, in veggie gravy with grated cheese (much nicer than it sounds!)

One dark chocolate mint thin.

Lots of water and two cups of weak coffee.

B - muesli, flaxseed, kiwi, yoghurt
Grapes
L - two butternut squash falafel, peppers, cucumber, baby kale , two oatcakes
Lemon Nakd bar, half a stale jammy dodger
D - veggie burger, roll, cheese, chutney and rocket, sweet potato fries, smoky mayo

B - Bircher muesli pot and a flat white
L - sushi lunch box
D - avocado on rye bread with broccoli and sugarsnap peas, an orange and some blackberries

Also ate a packet of jelly sweets because I was so sleep deprived the sugar was crying out to me.

B: granola with blueberries, banana and yogurt, toast and marmite, black coffee.
Mid-morning: cappuccino, lemon drizzle cake.
L: slice of bread and marmite, slice of toast and avocado, a few taralli with hummus. I was meant to be having beetroot soup that DP had made, but it tasted horrible to me (and there's gallons of it). Two tiny satsumas.
Post class, pre choir: a Greggs sausage roll. So good for the vocal chords!
Supper: sausage and cannellini bean casserole, jacket potato, Savoy cabbage. Gü chocolate soufflé, tea.

I had usual breakfast, then an enormous and delicious lunch of baked cod Boulanger, cooked in wood-fried oven, with fried potatoes, zesty salads and a freshly baked roll. So good. So wanted a nap afterwards!

And I’ve just eaten a pear and three oatcakes with peanut butter.

L - piece of marmite toast, chicken noodle cup soup and some garlic olives
S - Apple, 2 chocolate rice cakes & a hot chocolate
D - breaded chicken breast, sweet potato fries, peas and mayo

Water or squash throughout the day too.

S- popchips, 2 plums
D- vegetable moussaka and steamed veg
S- 2 crumpets with pb and banana, a couple of mini ritter sport chocolates

Sorry I've been away a few days - been dealing with a poorly toddler, then a ooorly me so haven't really been eating much! Today I managed breakfast of oats, blueberries and yoghurt and a dinner of ham and spinach gnocchi. Might give in to a chocolate craving later as well

rockyismyrhino hope you and your little one feel better soon.

I'm exhausted and coming down with a cold so I'm literally forcing myself to eat at the moment

B: scrambled eggs on toast, orange juice, tea
S: cup of tea and chocolate biscuit at playgroup
L: tuna mayo + cucumber roll, tomatoes, grapes, homemade banana bread, coffee
D: bacon and pea risotto with parmesan, and salad.

I'll try and have some crackers and cheese later but not sure yet.

Porridge with banana and brown sugar
Some nuts for mid morning snack
Tea
Ham and salad sandwich, crisps and an orange.
Water
Pork loin steak wrapped in parma ham with a herb butter, new potatoes and broccoli.
Lime cordial.
That’s it.
Going to have more tea now before bed.

Yesterday: B granola with blueberries, banana and yogurt, toast and Marmite, black coffee.
Coffee and homemade cheese biscuits mid-morning.
L: finished up some bolognese ragù with pasta.
Tea and half a slice of lemon drizzle cake later.
Supper: chicken traybake, potatoes, cauliflower. Tea and lemon drizzle cake later. Red wine.
Today: tea and toast at 2am. B: porridge with maple syrup, toast and Marmite, black coffee.
Cappuccino later.
L: leftover chicken traybake, a few taralli with avocado, two tiny satsumas. Tea.
Supper: sea bass fillet with lemon caper dressing, sweet potato oven fries, tenderstem broccoli. Rhubarb crumble and custard. White wine.

S - an apple
L - carrot and butter bean soup, a slice of seeded toast and quorn ham slices, cherry tomatoes
D - salmon, baked gnocchi, broccoli, mushroom, spinach and blue cheese sauce.
S - a couple of chocolates

Today
B - porridge with grapes
S - an apple
L - leek and potatoe soup, some rice cakes with peanut butter and cucumber
S - a couple of oatcakes with Nutella
D - pasta with pesto, peas and cheese. Two glasses of white wine. A couple of chocolates.
