I loved it! Just wish Smithy’s sister and Dave Coaches had been in it too so they would have had everyone.

I thought the beginning was a bit stiff and forced but once it got going I really enjoyed it.

There obviously has to be more episodes made now!

I watched the first episode the other night. I can’t stand Horne or Corden but was prepared to see if it lived up to the hype. After ten minutes I was so bored I nearly thought about cleaning the bathroom. Really don’t see what the fuss is about.

Laughed so hard when Nessa took a card machine for Christmas carolling.

We need another thread like this where everyone has to say

Would be interesting to see whether old fans liked it or not. All the old fans in our house did but MIL was watching for the first time and wasn't impressed.

Brilliant.

The only bit I didn’t like was the taps. Good gag of Nessa giving them all the same crap thing, but taps just wasn’t funny.

P.S - I have seen all the previous Gavin and Stacy's.

We loved it! And AIBU to find the older Gavin to be quite attractive? Never fancied him before, but he seems a bit broader now (used to be quite skinny) and has a much better hairstyle.

Praying there is more episodes! I want Smithy to say yes !!

We loved it here. Lots of out loud laughs here. I want to watch it again because you sometimes miss the subtle sub sub comedy just under the radar first time around.
For some reason this time I found the names hilarious all over again.

It was never going to.please everyone it had so much to live upto and anyone new or not remembering all.of what went before probably would have not got it quite as well.

I really hope they continue the story. If not in a series but perhaps another Xmas special next year.

To the poster asking about Daves Coaches, he was dumped by Nessa at thier wedding in the last series.

Took a while to get going (and missed some detail - like where does Stacey work now?!) but I laughed out loud especially at the towels and the taps 🤣 Pam and amuck have excellent chemistry. There was absolutely none between Gavin and Smithy - but I think James Corden and Matt Horne had a big falling out IRL.

Did it annoy anyone else that they kept saying how Gavin and Stacey had been married 10 years, yet Neil The Baby - who Nessa announced she was pregnant with just after the wedding - is 11. It annoys me that simple things like that aren't done properly

Also I have no idea what was said between Gavin and Stacey on the pier because I couldn't take my eyes off Stacey's wiggly eyebrows
