I found this beauty. A combination of gorgeous original features with a few modern touches. Light and airy. Beautiful grounds. Close to motorway networks to Glasgow/Edinburgh/Stirling. Eight bedrooms probably too much for me but I guess I could have some more children... Hmm.

That’s a beaut.

I do this all the time and then end up depressing myself that some lucky folk live in luxury and I have a crappy tiny house.

Here’s what I found near my house....

Like that first one, though not in Dullatur.

I like this one

OrangeTwirlGate · 14/12/2019 22:29

Bloody hell, they’re nice.

And here’s me struggling to find somewhere to store my hoover

Echobelly · 14/12/2019 22:29

Being North London you don't get anything that special for under a £1m! This is the next road along from us - these houses are very lovely, but not all that big tbh. This one's done up very nicely though.

Crabonastick · 14/12/2019 22:30

They’re all a bit shit, or slightly nicer but in shit areas.

This is beautiful on the outside

And this looks like a nicer version of it

But it looks like I would be heaving with ghosts

SimonJT · 14/12/2019 22:32

North London, you don’t get much for your money.

I know this is going for under a million.

Beautiful but not sure I could live in it!

BIWI · 14/12/2019 22:45

My house, in SW London is worth more than £1m! And although I love my house, it truly isn't anything that any footballer's wife is going to get excited about Grin

GoldenKelpie · 14/12/2019 22:48

Oooh, Bunny I love the parquet floor in that cottage. Its from 1600s too so Grade 2 listed.

Ah, orange, I too live in a tiny house but the best thing about it is that it takes just five minutes to hoover the entire ground floor (1 room plus kitchen). As I hate housework, it is a big advantage Grin.

Your property has gorgeous warm cream brickwork and the hall tiles are a delight!

This is the most expensive house for sale in my town. I wouldn't buy it though.

GoldenKelpie · 14/12/2019 22:56

AShave, cor I love the pop of lime green in the kitchen, and that afternoon tea display looks lush too Grin.

Been on the market for 2 years. Must be a deal to be done...

That house is absolutely stuffed with character, Rhubarb. I would love to live there (I adore untidy bookcases, they are a treasure trove).

GoldenKelpie · 14/12/2019 23:02

Echo is it the 3 bed semi for £935,000 with the Elmer inspired rug in the living room (I want one!)? Yes, it is small but still has character and, for London is a great price.

OP posts:
rhubarbcrumbles · 14/12/2019 23:03

Goldenkelpie I covet their bookshelves.

BathHell · 14/12/2019 23:04

I live in London so £1m will get you... a semi detached house!!!!!

Not posting any links as it's too depressing, but love those estates posted. If only I had £1m to spend on them...

GoldenKelpie · 14/12/2019 23:06

Crab, its like something you'd see on Midsomer Murders Grin. I have never, ever seen a shower placed bang in front of windows. Interesting Shock.

GoldenKelpie · 14/12/2019 23:08

Wow, Simon, that roof terrace is amazing!

OP posts:
GoldenKelpie · 14/12/2019 23:11

CanI, it is beautiful! And, is that a sleeping dog on one of the window seats? I am assuming it is Listed due to its great age.
