Just a quiet place to sit. If you want to gloat or opinionate about Corbyn please go over to AIBU.

Please. One thread. Just leave this one alone. Go to AIBU and slag off us off there if you want. This is a support thread is for people who are scared and miserable and maybe need to vent a little.

How sad that someone posts a thread to support those who are upset and frightened to live in a country where they feel those at the bottom of the pile will suffer even more. (Time will tell exactly what will happen)
and some people feel they shouldn't even be allowed that.
Compassionate country we live in eh?

itwaseverthus · 13/12/2019 07:14

Because I am sane, not a sadist and totally reasonable, I will leave you alone if you can't hack a bit of ribbing. I give you my total sympathies, it is indeed pathetic.

Willowcat77 · 13/12/2019 07:15

I have also reported *itwaseverthus Vicious, abusive right wing Troll.

Feeling so sad for our country. I work for a charity that helps refugees and immigrants, we are all gutted.

ShouldI101 · 13/12/2019 07:16

I need a hug, and I'm offering as many as are needed in return.

What's wrong with people? I just don't understand it.

itwaseverthus · 13/12/2019 07:17

Good luck with that report. What was it? Please miss, that nasty woman doesn't sing from my hymn sheet? Dear god, woman up.

KizzyWayfarer · 13/12/2019 07:17

Thank you Willowcat77 for what you do, we’ll need people like you more than ever.

I don't understand it. The NHS is already crumbling, my DH recently had an operation. He was told he had to supply everything for his bandages, the dressing, the saline, and bring them to the nurse for her to change his bandages. Half the time he could not get an appointment for his daily dressing change and I had to pack and dress his wound myself, it's a miracle he didn't get an infection because I don't know what I'm doing.
I'm pregnant, my local midwives are no longer being supplied with urine sample tubes. Either we have to go begging for them elsewhere, or we have to try to pee directly on the test strips. I don't feel confident in my health care when my midwives are telling me they literally do not have a pot to piss in.

ShouldI101 hug from me

Hugs for you, @ShouldI101, I really don't understand the thinking behind it, either.

SJaneS48 · 13/12/2019 07:21

Should have read ‘claim to be’. God I’m tired. Best wishes all. I’m off to get on with real life.

TotorosFurryBehind · 13/12/2019 07:21

So sad for the future of my child ☹️

itwaseverthus · 13/12/2019 07:22

If you were really as sane & intelligent as you claim too, quite simply you wouldn’t be on here. Now get on with your life & have a bit of a reflect on why you may have felt the need to do this and what kind of person that might make you

I could say the same to you...how very proscriptive!

Oblomov19 · 13/12/2019 07:22

Shocked. Saddened by the public.

I'm not particularly political. But clearly I was out of touch with the voting public. I thought more would vote any party other than Tory. They didn't!

Clearly a lot more people voted Tory than I predicted.

I too can't stand JC. Ineffective he is and should have stepped down long ago. I only voted labour to stop BJ. Look where that got me!

Christ. What a mess.

bumblingbovine49 · 13/12/2019 07:23

I am sad and to add insult to injury today is my birthday. Friday the 13th ( which happens every few years). Waking up to the biggest Tory majority since Thatcher. on Friday 13th is not a birthday I'll forget in a hurry.

I am.not devastated though as I had a feeling this would happen. DH thinks I have magic powers or something. I said Trump would be elected from dayone. I said we would vote to leave the EU ( despite being remain myself) and that Boris would have a large majority ( despite voting labour myself) .

I am past despair and on resignation at the moment.. I was more devastated when Margaret Thatcher got in as I was younger and more idealistic.

I also see the Blair years as pretty good overall (except for the Iraq war in his last term) . Probably the best 15 years politically since I was born.

Do people rely believe the Tories will.spend more money to.wnd austerity?

I know they say they will bit that was when they were worried they might lose the election or not get a majority. Now they have a massive majority they have no incentive to do these things. I am sorry to say that I believe they will continue to see decimate out public services until we have none left.

KizzyWayfarer · 13/12/2019 07:26

itwaseverthus I’m not being rude to you, I’m not abusing you. I’m just asking you please to take a deep breath and step away from this thread which was created to be a place for upset, scared and shocked people to find some solace in sharing their feelings. There are many other threads available for combative debate.

I am devastated for my home country. I’ve been away over ten years so not eligible to vote. Goodbye NHS, goodbye decent education system ( I don’t care what the perennial ‘complainers’ say, it is generally an excellent system with amazing staff ).

I cannot believe how so many people could endorse these values, thoughts and vision.

Now working out how to get my elderly Dad out of the UK, into this country where proportional representation and common sense remain and it only takes a maximum of two days to see a GP, oh and whilst not perfect, children don’t have to sleep on floors whilst waiting for medical attention.

AwkwardAsAllGetout · 13/12/2019 07:28

I feel genuinely sick. I have a disabled child and honestly I feel he’s been thrown under a bus. But hey, as long as fucking Brexit gets done.

HarryBlackberry1 · 13/12/2019 07:31

I feel like I don't know my own country anymore. Its alien to me.

KitKat1985 · 13/12/2019 07:31

I'm gutted. I'm an NHS nurse who has seen first hand the damage the Tories have done these past 10 years. The beds for the dementia service I work in has nearly halved in the past 5 years. Some frail demented old people are being put in bed nearly 50 miles away from their loved ones. Others are waiting days just to get 'emergency' admissions.

I'm also scared for the future of my autistic daughter. Trying to get her educational support is like getting blood out of a stone already, and now it's only going to get worse.

And for what? Some sort of 'frothing at the mouth' obsession with Brexit, even though for the average person on the street Brexit will do nothing for them.

Difficultcustomer · 13/12/2019 07:32

((ShouldI101))

Hug please, was trying to explain my sorrow at about 4am and didn’t do a good job, awake since then and actually sadder.

Satonloo · 13/12/2019 07:38

I woke up in the middle of the night to check the news. I'm so upset. I cant look at my parents or in laws for voting this way. Knowing he is a racist and voting for him.

I know want Brexit to be over and when my elderly and very sick Mother needs the NHS as she does often to keep her alive I will remind her of her vote and the impact it will have on herself and others.

Satonloo · 13/12/2019 07:39

Now not know! I'm too cross to type!
