This exit poll is just...no words.

Borkins, you're spot on. I'm from a traditional Labour family but Jeremy and his Momentum policies were just too extreme. Definitely not Boris but not Labour either.

Up here in Scotland I’m delighted at the Tory victory. Boris is the only leader who will refuse to give the SNP another bloody independence referendum.

ilovetinsel · 12/12/2019 23:05

Fucking Boris and all the racist Brexit fuckwits in this country. Dismal result. Fucking stupid turkeys voting for Xmas. What fucking bollocks!!

Happysummer2020 · 12/12/2019 23:05

Stunned that anyone working for the NHS would vote Tory but there you go..

Xenia · 12/12/2019 23:06

The left seem to swear quite a lot. They are very rude but there you go - by our words are we known.

koshkat · 12/12/2019 23:07

Wow.

Fairenuff · 12/12/2019 23:08

None of the students living in halls at my uni got polling cards or any indication of where to go to vote.

My student dcs registered for a proxy vote. Took about 2 minutes. It's not hard.

katewhinesalot · 12/12/2019 23:08

I don't want Boris but I don't want Corbyn even more. I felt sick voting blue but it had to be done.

Borkins · 12/12/2019 23:10

And yet Corbyn made gains in last election
I don't think this is just about Corbyn dislike. It was the most bizzare election with lots of tactical voting.

Hoolajerry · 12/12/2019 23:14

It was farcical. They're all shit. I genuinely got to the ballot box wishing i didn't have to vote for any if them

koshkat · 12/12/2019 23:15

Are students so shiftless that they cannot get off their backsides to organise their vote? Or do they really not care that much?Hmm

Borkins · 12/12/2019 23:16

It was farcical
Scottish Independence referendum coming right up too...

IamAporcupine · 12/12/2019 23:17

Utterly depressing

SnorkMaiden81 · 12/12/2019 23:18

From watching in previous years, I've seen strong exit polls and then the actual results might be a little more moderate, which I expect to see, a bit, tonight. I still think it'll be a Blue Friday though.

Steerpike902 · 12/12/2019 23:18

Boris hid in a fridge, didn't debate and refused to look at a child waiting on a hospital floor. I mean I'm no fan of Corbyn but Boris?

LochJessMonster · 12/12/2019 23:18

Can we admit that Brexit is the will of the people now?

Borkins · 12/12/2019 23:18

What will our kids make of all this in 30 years time?

furinstance · 12/12/2019 23:18

Can't believe people are so shocked that Corbyn has had such an arse kicking!!! I get the ingrained anti-Tory feeling but shocked Corbyn hasn't won by a country mile? He made Labour unelectable. This isn't a shock.

Borkins · 12/12/2019 23:19

Brexit is not the will of the Scottish people

JanMeyer · 12/12/2019 23:20

I have a DS with SEN if it’s relevant. I care far too much about his future to stand back while Mosley #2 forces his school to close and bankrupts the productive sector of the economy that actually pays for everyone to have nice things.

And will your child ever need to claim ESA or PIP? Do you have any compassion for those people who have disabled children that are reliant on those benefits?
How do you think the Tories have treated disabled people so far? Well, I know one thing, it's definitely not going to be any better next year. More crooked assessments, more lies, all whilst the companies the Tories gave the contract to line their pockets at our expense.

Ironically enough I read earlier the DWP paid £5,000 and apologised to the claimant who was referred to in her paperwork by a DWP staff member as a "lying bitch."
Funny, all this money spent on tribunals and legal proceedings, not really saving any money is it? All they have to do is tell the truth, something they don't seem to want to do. It's almost like they enjoy making us suffer or something. And it's truly heartening to find out people have no problem with this, really 😥

Oh, and the disabled people in question will win their tribunal and get their benefits back, that is if they survived living in poverty in the mean time.
And apparently most people think this is a price worth paying, all so some of you get to pay less tax. It's always nice to be reminded of how little the lives of disabled people count.

Aardvarkitsabloodyaardvark · 12/12/2019 23:21

Agreed Furinstance JC is the reason they have failed. 100%

I don't understand how so many people can be so self-serving

That is where you are so wrong ,the most devisive party was labour. Their vote temptations were selfish, free tuition fees , free train tickets , etc . And they ignored the fact that all successful people are not selfish , many of them do contribute a huge amount in taxes of all sorts , and many of them do not object to paying more tax , what they do object to is a party who can not add up at all and would bankrupt the country. This is not a selfish vote . Just the opposite. And. I am an ex labour voter . Not all rich are evil . Not all businesses are greedy , and if corbyn had been a more effective opposition leader we would not be in this position.

CendrillonSings · 12/12/2019 23:22

Maybe Labour could try not ramming their far-left bullshit down our throats? The British public seems not to like it!

steppemum · 12/12/2019 23:23

I am astonished that anyone is surprised.
I have been predicting a tory landslide.
I am not a tory voter. But it has been obvious that this was coming.

There is no way that this country was going to vote JC in as prime minister.

please stop with all the 'selfish tories' and 'turkeys voting for christmas' crap.
I don't want Boris, but I certainly didn't want an incompetent JC bankrupting the country either.

Most people I know have agonised over this vote. Caught between the devila dn the deep blue sea. They have not voted out of self interest but have genuinely struggled to see where the country can go. Obvioulsy people reached different conclusions, but it wasn't selfishness
