@Trewser You're not allowed to ask logical questions. Grin

Hester54 · 09/12/2019 15:13

By looking at today polls, the Tory’s are heading for a fifty - seventy seat majority, it seems a lot of people on MN are in the minority, ever considered that your opinions might be the wrong ones?

LochJessMonster · 09/12/2019 15:14

ever considered that your opinions might be the wrong ones? Are you new to MN?! Grin

MustardScreams · 09/12/2019 15:15

How can wanting disabled people to have adequate services and funding be the wrong opinion? How can wanting children to have an excellent education, people not having to use food banks to survive, everyone being paid a decent wage, people being taxed proportionately, health care available for all be the “wrong opinion”?

The Tories are probably going to win, but that is not because they are the better party. Too many people with too much money have too much to lose if they do.

It honestly makes me sick to my stomach to see people gleeful and gloating about voting Tory.

Fair enough do it because their policies benefit you. But don’t dance about being smug because hundreds of thousands of people are going to suffer. That is nothing to gloat about. Unless you’re a sociopath of course.

Gruzinkerbell1 · 09/12/2019 15:18

And yet the die hard Labour supporters are constantly telling anyone who will listen that you’re voting for a political party, not an individual person. “It’s not a popularity contest.” Funny how that only applies when people point out all of Corbyn’s failings/ramblings/racism/terrorist sympathies.

LochJessMonster · 09/12/2019 15:23

@MustardScreams Coming across hundred of threads calling me racist/stupid/vile etc because of how I choose to vote, that makes me sick to my stomach too.

Hester54 · 09/12/2019 15:25

MustardScreams I keep forgetting this country was such a nice place with no problems when Labour were in power, till it bankrupted the country

MustardScreams · 09/12/2019 15:26

@LochJessMonster so if you’re sick to your stomach at words on a forum, how’d you think the people think who can’t afford to heat their homes, feed their children, die preventable deaths due to austerity and policies feel?

Vote Tory by all means, but don’t try the ‘poor me’ act when you’re called out on your gloating.

MustardScreams · 09/12/2019 15:27

@Hester54 more Daily Mail bollocks.

The recession was caused by the Global Market downturn. If you actually did some reading into the matter you’d find out how Gordon Brown prevented an even larger catastrophe.

LochJessMonster · 09/12/2019 15:28

MustardScreams I'm not 'poor me' at all, I don't really care what strangers on the net think, but its a bit hypocritical you getting upset seeing people 'gloating' about voting Tory, but happy for all the vicious personal insults to fly about...

MustardScreams · 09/12/2019 15:30

@LochJessMonster I don’t speak for anyone or they choose to label Tories.

I know what the Tories have done to my friends, family neighbours and everyone else that isn’t earning thousands a month. I’ve seen first hand the fucking awful devastation they personally have caused humans. As have many, many others. So I can quite understand why they would be passionate and really, just fucking sick to death of the lot of them.

Snowjive2 · 09/12/2019 15:36

@LochJessMonster “vicious personal insults”? Snowflake.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 09/12/2019 15:38

“I’ll ask you nicely, again Mustardscreams. Please don’t @ me again Thank-you”

Ooh you better take heed of that warning, mustard. She get big hards BJ and JRM on to you. Grin

LochJessMonster · 09/12/2019 15:39

Snowjive2 Someone on another thread said they hoped my children died. I don't think that is being a snowflake...

@MustardScreams You are entitled to have your opinion and your vote. But your statement about being offended when people say they vote Tory was hypocritical.

MustardScreams · 09/12/2019 15:41

@LochJessMonster unless I was being gleeful and gloating about how Tories are insulted, I wasn’t being hypocritical in the slightest.

LochJessMonster · 09/12/2019 15:44

MustardScreams Another thing we'll have to disagree on then.

MustardScreams · 09/12/2019 15:45

We don’t need to disagree on it, by the actual definition of ‘hypocritical’ I wasn’t being.

Newbie1981 · 09/12/2019 15:46

I can't believe that people actually believe that JC OR BJ will do anything they said they will! We're fucked whatever happens, the sooner you all realise you're fighting over the lesser evil the better!

Snowjive2 · 09/12/2019 15:46

For “vicious insults” see those of which the OP reminded us. And not one Tory poster has been able to come on here and explain why those insults are okay with them. From which we must infer that either (a) they endorse the vile comments of the Tory leaders but know that’s a shameful position to adopt and so keep quiet or (b) when they think about it, they begin to realise that to have in power people who think and speak like this is not an option.

Hester54 · 09/12/2019 15:47

MustardScreams So they couldn’t of help back money in the better times to supplement the downturn that the existing government should have foreseen, that’s what the Labour governments have always done, thrown money about and left others to pick up the pieces
By the way. Sorry I don’t read the Daily Mail, it seems like you and many other people do, because you are always on about it

LochJessMonster · 09/12/2019 15:49

@Snowjive2 I don't agree with those comments. But I'm not voting for Tories because of those comments, I'm voting for many other reasons. No party is squeaky clean. There's good and bad in every party.

LochJessMonster · 09/12/2019 15:51

@MustardScreams You really can't stand someone not agreeing with you, can you? That's the problem with society MN now, some people cannot grasp that others have different opinions, and that (thankfully) in our country, different views and opinions is ok.

MustardScreams · 09/12/2019 15:54

No, you were just using the word wrong.

highlea3 · 09/12/2019 15:56
