Only 7 point lead for Boris in latest poll. Still all to play for.
Boris on Marr tomorrow morning.

Word is that Swinson's very likely to lose her seat so she'd have to resign as leader as the LD leader must be an mp. Word on the ground in the constituency is that the SNP will take it. GOOD. From "the country's next Prime Minister" to losing her seat would be great and the highlight of the night.

. Why is JC hated so much?

birdsdestiny · 05/12/2019 00:22

The lib dems have run the worst campaign since well the last Tory campaign.

Yappy12 · 05/12/2019 01:04

@Pixxie7

How long have you got?

All night

Because they believe the millionaire papers have their best interests at heart.

Yappy12 · 05/12/2019 23:21

Andrew Neil finally interviews Boris. 2.5 million views and climbing: twitter.com/bbcpolitics/status/1202670854410297344

Yappy12 · 05/12/2019 23:40

Am a huge Boris supporter and believe he should go on with Neil.

Come on Boris and get it done.

OP posts:
noblegiraffe · 06/12/2019 00:20

If he can’t get Neil done, why do you think he’ll get anything else done?

PigletJohn · 06/12/2019 01:09

"Better to keep quiet and have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt" says Boris.

ForalltheSaints · 06/12/2019 06:55

I think if there is any thought it will be close then people will panic at the thought of Jeremy Corbyn and vote Tory.

Just hoping Boris Johnson loses his seat.

thehorseandhisboy · 06/12/2019 09:16

Whatever your views about Johnson and the party he leads, it's quite hard to imagine any honest justification for his refusal to participate in the democratic process as other party leaders have, isn't it?

Johnson is PM. There is a general election next week which he called. His party is leading the polls by some margin, and his is, on paper, a popular choice for leader.

Genuine question - how can anyone believe that he has any credibility if he continues to refuse to be interviewed for 30 minutes by Andrew Neil?

Looneytune253 · 06/12/2019 09:45

I can't believe how many people here are tories. I don't know anyone in real life that's voting Tory (but I'm aware that the national figures reveal differently) but I don't know why you're all so horrified at the thought of labour getting in. It's way better than the thought of the conservatives being in charge. Don't believe the crappy hype about corbyn either.

dreamingofsun · 06/12/2019 09:49

looney - because i dont want a racist party that will cause major damage to our economy to be in charge. That has a lot of very loopy plans and doesnt understand economics at all.

Looneytune253 · 06/12/2019 09:54

@dreamingofsun racist how? Erm have you seen boris?? 😂

dreamingofsun · 06/12/2019 10:15

its been widely reported that there are anti-semitism issues within the labour party looney or are you saying all the press and tv coverage over the last few years is wrong? I dont remember seeing anything about Boris.

Looneytune253 · 06/12/2019 10:30

@dreamingofsun I have seen talk of 'labours anti semitism' but to be fair nothing concrete. There are several proven occasions from boris including saying that Muslim women look like post boxes. Way worse!! He's a fool.

noblegiraffe · 06/12/2019 11:11

dont remember seeing anything about Boris.

The blatant racism? The bumboys comments? The slating single mothers? Working mothers?

The pathological lying?

Or is it just antisemitism you are concerned about? Which would be weird.

dreamingofsun · 06/12/2019 11:12

so the labour politicians that have resigned because of it and the jewish association making formal complaints are 'nothing concrete'?

dreamingofsun · 06/12/2019 11:13

noblegiraffe - when has slating working mothers been racist? have you read the post? And please dont make out that corbyn never lies.....he doesnt even know when the queen's speech is on at christmas!

noblegiraffe · 06/12/2019 11:13

Yes, there are issues with antisemitism in the Labour Party. Serious ones.

Why would that make you want to vote for a racist, homophobic lying misogynist instead?

dreamingofsun · 06/12/2019 11:17

Because I think the country's finances would be in much better shape. Because I dont want my kids to be saddled with loads of public sector debt. Because I dont want the state to dictate my life, I want to make my own choices. Because I dont want to live in a marxist society. Because I dont want someone who is economically incompetent in charge

noblegiraffe · 06/12/2019 11:20

Corbyn isn’t going to win a majority, the racist homophobic lying misogynist might. With no one to hold him back.

porridging · 06/12/2019 11:23

But historically tories have always spent more than Labour. You don’t want the state to dictate your life but your happy to vote for a party who according to their manifesto want to do just thatHmm (read page 48) @dreamingofsun

But hey if you’re happy to allow the increase in homelessness, children in poverty and the continued culling of disabled people why not vote for them. I hope you’re an elite because you’re going to need to be.
