Only 7 point lead for Boris in latest poll. Still all to play for.
Boris on Marr tomorrow morning.

Hung parliament would be a good outcome 🤞

chomalungma · 30/11/2019 21:09

Anyone mentioned margins of error, undecided voters not being counted in the percentages being quoted and the weighting of polls as well?

Yappy12 · 30/11/2019 21:10

Another just released from Deltapoll has L32 and Tories 45. That's better folks!

The Tories can't afford any cock-ups over the next 11 days. Boris had better not muck up tomorrow either.

I am terrified about the conservatives under Boris Johnson getting a majority. We could maybe just about afford private healthcare insurance but not cancer treatments for example. And also not private education. I am more scared for those with less than us.

I am also scared for the environment and my children's future with a prime minister who cares so little about the environment that he visits a farm shop rather than discussing the climate emergency.

I can understand that people don't like Corbyn but the alternative is so much worse that I don't understand why anyone who is not rich or who cares about others would want the conservatives to win.

Depends on your POV

Maybe they found 5 more percentage votes and didn't lose 10 so they have 15 more percentage points?

@MajesticWhine

I agree.

A hung parliament in which the SNP & Lib Dems had enough leverage to demand Corbyn’s resignation and replacement by someone they could work with, eg Starmer, as the price of their support would probably be the best way out of this catastrophe.

Oh well, I can dream....

LauraBradshaw well aren’t you charming.

Let’s hope your bubble never bursts and you realise that the support you need has been obliterated.

JimmyGrimble · 30/11/2019 21:35

LauraBradshaw you sound just lovely

chomalungma · 30/11/2019 21:37

I suspect @LauraBradshaw is taking the piss....

Enterthewolves · 30/11/2019 21:37

@LauraBradshaw troll or fucking idiot?

Yes that would be a good outcome but as you have said one can only dream

It’s one poll of less the 2000 people. I wouldn’t get too excited or disheartened by it

LauraBradshaw · 30/11/2019 21:43

People should work for a living and have aspirations and pass these attributes down to their children

It's got to be very hard to get accurate polls, given the local constituencies are different in 'sample type' to the national picture, it's hard to get random anyway so the companies have to weight, smaller numbers lead to bigger margins of error etc Plus the effect of tactical voting.

Dec 12th and 13th are going to be interesting days

I take back what I said. Laura was not taking the piss.

Unless she's being provocative....

JimmyGrimble · 30/11/2019 21:45

LauraBradshaw all the aspirations in the world won’t help if you’re working a zero hours contract and can’t afford to feed your kids.

TorysSuckRevokeArticle50 · 30/11/2019 21:48

Hey @laurabradshaw you should definitely leave the UK. Go far far far away, preferably to somewhere the internet hasn't yet been rolled out to yet. Bye!

Enterthewolves · 30/11/2019 21:49

@LauraBradshaw ah ok, fucking idiot it is then

How lovely for you @LauraBradshaw your comments about a ‘sense of entitlement’ are incredibly ironic. So you got where you are with just hard work and aspirations did you? Yeah. You’ve been lucky love. Accept it.

Frequency · 30/11/2019 22:03

We live in a affluent quaint village due to hard work and aspirations to make a better life for ourselves and our children,.We do not expect anything given to us on a plate. We do however pay our taxes and hope we contribute to services to people in need and not people who are waiting for a handout due to a sense of entitlement like most od Corbyns supporters

I'm on benefits. I struggle even with benefits. I work 13 days out of 14, have a degree and two professional, vocational qualifications and am working towards a third professional qualification and a second degree. I am terrified of another Tory government. The public service sector I work in will not survive more cuts, nor will most of the service users.

Austerity is literally killing people. How much worse do things need to get?

JimmyGrimble · 30/11/2019 22:07

She doesn’t care @frequency. She’s swallowed all the Tory shit about the undeserving poor and ‘aspiration’. It’s sad really that people like this exist. Heads yo their arses and I’m alright Jack.

mumwon · 30/11/2019 22:10

@LauraBradshaw Oh god she is on this thread being a bigot too! She was wittering on about the increase in sickness being down to migrants coming in with diseases & blaming them for protesting their human rights - never let the truth get in the way of being nasty & promoting fake information! Aside from that - I hope the government is so hung (!!! incorrect grammar??) that they have to work together - so the extremes of both sides will be mitigated. (& I have been voting for nearly 50 years & nobody ever asked me my opinion & I have always been happy to provide it Grin as my dh would say! - sorry about that!)
