Always loved treating myself to bits in Mark's and Spencer's food but I've been in today got afew meal deals eg 2 x large pizzas and 3 sides for ten pounds great and yes I'm never going to buy my weekly shop in there but some stuff is actually really good price and it's such lovely quality food!

Grammar!!!

Ness1234 · 12/11/2019 17:53

Mixed changing rooms is one thing but men in the lingerie and bra fitting rooms.....are women really happy with this??

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 12/11/2019 17:54

But the rooms are mixed now- you can use whatever one you feel more comfortable in! The one near me has the kids section and men’s on the same floor but that’s all ok - grown men and kids sharing, what can go wrong?

MarshaBradyo · 12/11/2019 18:02

Is the pile on with the food posts a coordinated marketing dept ruse

M&S food is too plasticky really annoyed Ocado have switched from Waitrose

lalafafa · 12/11/2019 18:04

you can't beat their fruit, crisps, puddings and mashed potatoes.

BloodyCats · 12/11/2019 18:06

It’s not good is it. I hope they do change this soon. Doesn’t affect me, my boobs are too small for M&S 😭

EchidnasPhone · 12/11/2019 18:09

I liked M&S for their croissants and the salad with avocado hummus and beetroot. I’ll never go in there again for food or clothes whilst they think us invisible women should put up with men in our spaces.

RaymondStopThat · 12/11/2019 18:09

I don’t understand those boycotting M&S. I don’t much fancy sharing a changing room with a man either but is it really worth it?

Yes to many women it is worth it. 5 years ago, if someone had said that M &S would allow men into our changing rooms including the women's underwear changing rooms most of us couldn't have imagined it ever happening. Now, our spaces have been invaded to such an extent that it's considered acceptable by some. Not me.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 12/11/2019 18:10

They won’t - didn’t you get the memo? Women are fair game for men now - no ID necessary it’s all about their comfort (not ours).

AdelaideK · 12/11/2019 18:13

I don't go in there anymore but it doesn't sound that good value.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 12/11/2019 18:18

The did have some nice stuff in their 60p (or was it 65p?) display - mangos were nice - but I’d rather pay full price elsewhere in a store that recognised sex.

Cccsss011 · 12/11/2019 18:30

I can assure you I'm a care assistant I dont work for m and s and I mainly go in for percy pig sweets!!!....lush!!!😜ps I never said a thing about changeing rooms pmsl!!!

Mummyoflittledragon · 12/11/2019 19:00

Food used to be special. I’m boycotting anyway.

Unshriven · 12/11/2019 19:08

OK, Cccsss011 , you just carry on with your PMSLing, and LOLing while we grown ups take care of the attack on women's rights from all angles shall we?

Nothing in the replies to you resonates at all? Or makes you think?

M&S have fallen to the trans agenda, and thrown women under a bus.

But hey, you get great pizza. Hmm

isspacethefinalfrontier · 12/11/2019 19:10

you can't beat their ....puddings.

Have you looked at the calories? They are the worst shop for adding sugars to disguise the additives and cheap food in their meals.

Their single desserts are the worst.

M&S food is too plasticky really annoyed Ocado have switched from Waitrose

Agree, sadly I won't use ocado anymore.

Gingerninja01 · 12/11/2019 19:13

I used to think of M&S food as being a real treat, but it just doesn’t seem to be as good quality any more and it is seriously, ridiculously overpriced. Over £4 for some watermelon fingers at the M&S Food closest to me.

RaymondStopThat · 12/11/2019 19:17

Maybe when you've finished pysl, and need new knickers, you can go and try some on in M & S next to a bloke who gets his sexual thrills from trying on women's underwear...

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 12/11/2019 19:23

M&S really dropped the ball on that - allowing men and women into the same fitting rooms.

I can’t imagine many women being comfortable having a bra fitting / discussing matters (such as mastectomy etc) in a tiny booth (open at the top and bottom) or with a curtain with Highlander20 (he likes his scanty panties from M&S - just read the reviews) on the other side getting his thrills.

Sagradafamiliar · 12/11/2019 19:27

I hate the changing room policy but if I boycotted M&S then I'd have to boycott all the other high street clothes shops as well as they are all complicit, whereas Marks' are one of the few to have publicly announced their agenda.

MrsGrindah · 12/11/2019 19:29

Oh please come back OP and join in the debate. Or is your internship with M&S over?

EdWinchester · 12/11/2019 19:31

I love M&S food.

And I have bought 3 pairs of coated jeggings today, with 20% off.

isspacethefinalfrontier · 12/11/2019 19:38

Thats nice EdWinchester, which changing rooms did you use?

I actually dare not google what a coated jegging is.

Mummyoflittledragon · 12/11/2019 19:39

That’s nice Ed. What was it coated in? Ewwwww.

WendyMoiraAngelaDarling · 12/11/2019 19:42

I used to spend a LOT on food in there, there's one just at the bottom of my road and yes it is great quality and mostly delicious food but I won't shop there again because of the changing room policy. It's hard but it is what it is.

Ness1234 · 12/11/2019 19:44

But have Marks publicly announced their agenda, the staff in the stores don’t seem to be aware.....
