Not done one of these for a while, but I always really enjoy hearing about people's clothes (especially the bargains and the amazingly expensive things some people get the chance to wear).
Today I am wearing a pair of boyfriend jeans (Next) that were £5 from the chazza as well as a long sleeved rust-coloured t-shirt with small paisley type print on it (M&S) that was £3 also from chazza. Over this I have a thin navy sweater (H&M) also £3. Socks were cheapo pack of three (£6)(emergency purchase on camping trip when my feet were very cold). M & S pants (6 pack for £12) and an M & S bra from the sale (£8). My shoes are very chunky brown leather lace-ups, brand I've not heard of before (Fun & co !!) that look like 'Art' brand, also chazza for around £7.
I work for myself from home and have three children who are getting under my feet in half term.
Over to you lot.

OP posts:
LimeTreeGrove · 28/10/2019 15:25

Chazza has been around on mumsnet for a while.

WeBuiltCisCityOnSexistRoles · 28/10/2019 15:34

I'm amazed we got to 300 posts before that was mentioned Grin

AudTheDeepMinded · 29/10/2019 12:53

I think in this case as it is a homonym and NOT intentionally offensive I'm not yet for the MN firing squad. It's a shortening of the word 'charity' from charity shop, just as it is also a shortening of the female name 'Charlotte'. Is it a well known term of offense then (not come across it in 43 years having lived in many parts of Britain).

Pink Primark knickers from a £4 or £5 multipack

Pretty inexpensive outfit but the Zara dress looks relatively stylish and well made so hopefully I look okay!

Ancient M & S bra and matching knickers (can't even remember the price!)
Thick grey tights £6? TU
Black corduroy pinafore mini dress £18 TU
Long sleeved black white striped top H & M £4
Worn with a red fitted raincoat (EBay £8) but with the sleeves pushed up and the underneath stripy top sleeves coming out from under the raincoat sleeves (if that makes sense?)
Black converse (DD's, free!)
"Feminist Killjoy" earrings (Etsy £30?)

I worried I looked a little clown like but DH told me I looked nice (unprompted!) and I should get another dress like this one (it is great, I love TU clothes)

I think I need to get some Snag tights!

ConFusion360 · 29/10/2019 15:54

just as it is also a shortening of the female name 'Charlotte'

I know a Charlotte who would definitely take offence if addressed or referred to as "Chazza".

Bottle green cropped cardigan $5 USA thrift store

Primark jeans probably cost £10, my T-shirt from new looks sale £5 and an old hoody think from new look bought about 8years ago probably cost no more than £15

AudTheDeepMinded · 29/10/2019 20:55

@ConFusion360 I don't think it's obligatory that all charlottes have to be referred to by the nickname? I know a few Lizs and Beths and some very definite Elizabeths and woebetide if you call them anything but their full name.
