How can I not have seen this before? Absolutely fabulous stuff. Alison Steadman is so identical to my Auntie Steff I can't believe it.

No point to my post other than it's so nice to watch something that genuinely makes you laugh and I can't remember the last time that happened with a TV programme.

This was so hilarious I really couldn't stop laughing. I've no idea how the actress who plays Gwen kept a straight face during that scene. I wish I had an Uncle Bryn!

We binge watched the lot in about a week recently. So funny! Can't believe I've missed out for so long.

Neil will be about 11. I remember in the Christmas Special when Bryn is talking to Pete's mum he says:
"It's Christmas Day 2008, Gordon Brown is the Prime Minister..."
So he was born in 2008.

DD1 was 2007 and she's 12.

I love it! Nessa is brilliant, I can't wait for the Christmas special this year.

What will Neil, the baby, be like? I’m expecting a chubby, super confident, high achieving kind of kid. Ness and Smithy will be very hands off, benignly neglectful parents.

Gavin and Stacey’s offspring will be an anxious, hesitant little kid, who will require lots of gentle pep talks from Grandad Mick.

Gwen will do lots of the childcare.

I also loved when Nessa called Gwen her mum.

Mathew Horne was quoted as saying Gavin will be a ‘tired dad’ with an ‘almost grown-up child’ in the Christmas special, which makes me think they’re possibly not following an accurate timeline in line with actual time... Gavin/Stacey’s baby would about 9 or 10 surely?

@imundecided awww thanks for telling me! I found G&S pretty late on, and didn’t have the chance to take a holiday in Wales just to watch the filming... would have loved to have seen Doris in action. :)
