My teenage son can top 30mins. 10 mins is probably not unreasonable for someone with long hair.

PurpleDaisies · 25/09/2019 22:02

15 minutes is pretty normal for me.

which1 · 25/09/2019 22:03

I can shampoo and condition my hair, use body wash and face wash and all the rinsing in about 7 minutes but another 5 easy if shaving as you can't do that too quickly or you'll cut yourself.

Nextphonewontbesamsung · 25/09/2019 22:03

15 to 20 minutes every day for me. I love my showers.

Ohyesiam · 25/09/2019 22:05

Plain shower 3 mins, hair wash and shave legs, 10 mins max.
Teenage daughter, never less than 20 mins.

Metriti · 25/09/2019 22:05

15-20mins. What on earth would you have said over the ten minutes, that's not an unreasonable amount of time.

ifoundthebread · 25/09/2019 22:05

Before I left home I could shower for 25/30 min. Now about 10.

Deadringer · 25/09/2019 22:06

Between 5 and 10 minutes for me, but my teens take much longer.

doublesheesh · 25/09/2019 22:07

Sorry OP but 20 mins is pretty normal. If you shampoo twice, rinsing thoroughly and then condition and let the conditioner sit for 2-3 mins whilst you wash your bits then that's going to easily take 10 mins alone. Then there is washing your face and shaving legs. Maybe exfoliating. 20 mins gone.

SwedishEdith · 25/09/2019 22:08

Hair wash and shave legs and arms = can be done in about 5 minutes. But most days it's get wet, soap up, rinse, out.

Showers are boring - always a part of you getting colder so have to turn round all the time. And you're standing up so not relaxing.

DoubtingMyPatience · 25/09/2019 22:09

Me, probably about 15/20 minutes.

DP may not be seen for 6 years once he closes the shower door.

Disfordarkchocolate · 25/09/2019 22:09

7 to 8 is my maximum when I'm shaving, conditioning or using a face mask. Normal shower is 4 minutes. Get wet, wash, rinse and get out. I don't find them relaxing.

Rosere · 25/09/2019 22:11

In, showered and dried in 11 mins. Actually down to about 8 now because theres a problem with the shower tray 😂

Navy123 · 25/09/2019 22:11

I thought DH was bad taking about 10 mins! If I'm just body washing I'm in and out in about a minute. Hair and shaving maybe 7-8 mins - and I have long, thick hair, 2 x shampoo and conditioner.

The amount of water used for a 20 minute shower must be unsustainable surely?!

SlowasaSnail · 25/09/2019 22:12

2 minutes if not washing hair/shaving.

welshweasel · 25/09/2019 22:14

Shower with no hair wash or shaving approx 90 seconds.

With hair wash, 3 minutes.

With hair wash, leg/pit/bikini shave, 5 minutes max.

Have no idea what you could possibly be doing for 10 minutes in the shower.

forkfun · 25/09/2019 22:15

5 minutes tops, including hair and shaving legs. I have no idea why it would take longer?

chardonm · 25/09/2019 22:16

Don't be a miser. You can't control how long people spend in the shower!

Dollygirl2008 · 25/09/2019 22:20

A real mix then! I think people must just fanny around then (pardon the pun) - if I'm not doing hair, it's literally a couple of mins. If I'm doing hair, 5 tops. Shaving - I don't leave it running whilst I'm shaving!

Nah - not having it. Am going to keep an eye on it but no way and I having that every day!

ExpletiveDelighted · 25/09/2019 22:21

5 mins if washing hair, maybe 2 mins otherwise.

EskewedBeef · 25/09/2019 22:21

3-4 minutes. No shaving, but I always wash and condition my hair. I couldn't take longer - once everything's washed, there's no point in just standing there.

Wildorchidz · 25/09/2019 22:22

What about all the wasted water ?
