Merry Christmas to all!
I won't list everything I ate yesterday, but it did include my first ever beef Wellington, god it was good!

AwkwardSquad · 28/12/2019 08:32

We’ve eaten all sorts of delicious things and thoroughly enjoyed it. Still got cheeses, smoked salmon and the makings of a veggie cooked breakfast to enjoy, in addition to usual meals we cook.

So much chocolate and biscuits still in the house, though! Enough for several months. I’m going to hide it away to make it last.

Nuttyaboutnutella · 28/12/2019 08:44

We've still got loads left. We had two Christmas dinners (one with my parents, one with the ILs) which involved 3 courses. Thoroughly enjoyed but started feeling unwell boxing Day evening. Think it was all the heavy, rich food. Also felt dreadful yesterday, some kind of bug or virus, but feeling slightly better today. Only had toast and soup yesterday so hopefully me appetite is better today. I received tons of chocolate for Christmas which should last me aaaaages as it's mostly dark so can't eat a lot at once. Fine with me though as I love chocolate so saves me buying any for ages Grin I also have nuts, cheese and crackers and some other bits to get through.

Hope everyone had a lovely Christmas Xmas Smile
Can someone start another thread as we've nearly hit the limit? I don't know how to link this one?

AwkwardSquad · 29/12/2019 18:02

Still indulging rather too much but never mind. Made some delicious minestrone soup (even if I do say so meself) and DP has made walnut bread and banana loaf today, and a smoked mackerel frittata with fried potatoes tonight. Also had some taralli and some hazelnut wafers earlier this afternoon.

AwkwardSquad · 29/12/2019 20:12

I’m a big fan of scrambled tofu, KTyoupigeon, I was inspired by a poster on this thread. It’s one of my favourite meals now, made with onions, spices and peppers.

OP posts:
KTyoupigeon · 29/12/2019 20:53

AwkwardSquad I scramble with a warm milk mixture (oat milk, nutritional yeast, onion powder and tumeric and a small amount of hot water) then at the last minute I add fresh chopped tomatoes and a sprinkle of black salt. I’m making some breakfast wraps this week to freeze for a quick breakfast and will add some spinach and maybe mushrooms
