A diary thread for our daily meals, to record, share, glean menu inspiration and chat, but no judging each other’s food choices.

B- mince pie porridge with almond milk
S- plum
L- buffet at work- slice of quiche, turkey and cranberry mini wrap, a few crisps and bits
S- popchips
D- jacket potato with beans
S- christmas ice lolly (aldi), 2 lebkuchen, satsuma

B - usual
Mid-morning - apple, chocolate chip cookie and two Christmas chocolates
L - out again, this time had smoked salmon starter followed by pizza. Only ate about a third of the pizza, it wasn’t worth the calories
D - four peanut butter crackers

B: toast with peanut butter and honey, tea
Banana
L: ham, tomato + cheese omelette, a pear, natural yoghurt with apple compote
Coffee and shortbread biscuits
D: chicken, sweet potato and broccoli traybake

Hot chocolate before bed

Yesterday: B: muesli etc etc.
L: (out) quiche, quinoa and French bean salad, black coffee
Supper: some olives and salted nuts, turkey, bacon and mushroom pie, roast potatoes, carrots and parsnips, green beans and tenderstem broccoli. Pink gooseberries and cream, cheese and crackers, quite a lot of white wine, one chocolate. We had friends round for supper, don't usually have quite that much!

B - nothing
An energy ball
L - carrot and lentil soup, some oatcakes, and apple
Slice of lemon drizzle cake (delicious)
D - poached salmon, mixed grains, tenderstem broccoli, peas; sliced pear and walnuts

L - shredded wheat with blueberries
T - chicken chargrills x2, jacket with cheese, salad and 2 pigs in blankets.

Had an alpen bar as a snack. Will prob have cheese & crackers and some chocolate for supper.

S- plum, celebration chocolate (milky way, my fave!)
L- root vegetable soup, 4 ryvita
S- mini gingerbread man
D- 4 chipolata sausages, root vegetable mash, mixed veg
S- snowman ice cream lolly, banana, vanilla greek yoghurt, advent chocolate.

B: granola etc.
Late morning: cappuccino, mince pie.
L: end of mushroom and nut thing from Saturday, sauteed Brussels also from Saturday. Two olives, tea, some chocolate coins.

Supper: crostini and tapenade, polenta and spinach thing, green salad. Tea, a chocolate. Few mouthfuls of orange and rhubarb roulade later, didn't like, didn't finish.

Happy Friday!

B - muesli, kiwi, flaxseed, yoghurt
Snack - handful of roasted salted nuts, sitting at the highest point of a local park, watching birds and dog walkers
L - salad of mixed grains, salmon, cucumber, tomato, beetroot, salad leaves; a pear
Snack - slice of freshly baked walnut bread with butter and honey
D - Spanish style fish stew with another slice of bread
Mince pie chocolate

Had a starving hungry day!

Greggs vegan roll for breakfast
Greggs tomato, spinach and feta pasta for lunch
Chinese takeaway for tea, mushroom curry, rice and chips. Was delicious.

Must try one of those sausage rolls! Another local bakery chain is expanding its vegan range, so it’ll be interesting to see what they come up with.

B: porridge with banana & raspberries, slice of toast with marmalade, tea
L: leftover chicken traybake. Natural yoghurt with blueberries and chopped nuts.
D: ham, egg and chips
Cheese and crackers, and shortbread in the evening.

Today:
B: porridge with blackcurrant jam, toast with peanut butter, tea
L: tomato soup, ham/cheese/pickle roll
S: coffee and lots of whole nut dark chocolate (my new discovery and addiction from Lidl!)
D: fish goujons, homemade chips and peas

Debating whether to have something light before bed and a small whisky

Breakfast - porridge
Lunch- salmon with pasta, pig in blanket (coz its xmas) and a piece of Christmas cake.
Tea - meat pizza
Snacks - baileys, cheese and crackers, biscuits and coffee cream chocolates.

Its officially Christmas in my house.

B: chocolate and salted caramel granola, tea
L: turkey/cheese/cranberry toasted sandwich with salad. Pistachios, couple of squares of whole nut dark chocolate, coffee.
S: Greek yogurt with raspberries, walnuts & honey
D: spaghetti Bolognese, tenderstem broccoli & garlic bread, glass of red wine.

We've got sticky toffee pudding for later

Too many sweets in the cinema (Star Wars)
D - apple, cheddar, half a slice of walnut bread with butter

Looking forward to Christmas food. Planning on making some of it tomorrow.

@Nuttyaboutnutella I love Lidl's whole nut dark chocolate too!
Forgot to post yesterday, never mind. I could pretend I had a chia seed and kombucha shake for breakfast and a quinoa smoothie for dinner, but you'd never believe it.
Today: B: granola etc.
Late morning: cappuccino and most of a pain au Chocolat.
L: mashed avocado, Spanish style garlic and tomato on toast, Italian ham, a few mini blinis and olives, crackers, a bit of comté cheese. And a large glass of white wine, just to tidy up the bottle!
Over the next few hours, tea, a mince pie, two chocolate biscuits.
Supper: baked mackerel, potato wedges, Brussels sprouts, Savoy cabbage. Gooseberry crumble and cream. A chocolate, and some chocolate coins. Tea.
