A diary thread for our daily meals, to record, share, glean menu inspiration and chat, but no judging each other’s food choices.

4 slices domino's pizza (leftover)
Hot chocolate with tot of whisky in
2 glasses prosecco
Pret ham and cheese baguette
Bag of cheese puff, some biscuits things filled with Nutella

Not the healthiest but it is nearly Christmas 😂

Breakfast has been stollen this week - had a buffet in work and apple stollen from Aldi is amazing

@SkiingIsHeaven, it's fine. You're having my quota of mince pies so I don't have to eat them. You're doing me a big favour!

B: 0% fat Greek yogurt, grapes, raisins and a splurt of honey. Advent choc.
L: Salad with a bit of grated cheddar and four mini Satay chicken sticks, russet apple, a finger-wide slice of peanut-butter-brownie-flapjack.
D: Going out for dinner to a chophouse, so probably some gorgeous steak.

Breakfast- slice of phili on wm toast, porridge.

Lunch - costa latte

Tea - m&s fish sushi and m&s smoked salmon pasta, 2x chicken bites, chunk of chocolate and a pack of mentos.

Will prob have something for supper too in a few hours like toast and a hot choc and biscuits.

Elevenses- hot chocolate and toasted panettone
L - mug of carrot soup and a cheese scone
D - garlic mushroom omelette with salad
Also had some posh jelly babies and some chocolate

Late breakfast - apple, lemon muffin, raspberry yogurt with fresh raspberries and some rice krispies

Early tea - sausage and mash with carrots and gravy

Snack - small white chocolate bar

Lots of boiled water

Broke my 16:8 fast with an apple and a few roasted cashews. Dinner was a leftover portion of chickpea and spinach madras with lots of iceberg lettuce, cherry tomatoes and onions.

Couple of very weak white wine spritzers.

B: porridge with blueberries, chopped walnuts and maple syrup, tea
Clementine
L: cheese and onion toastie, with side salad, tea
Cup of coffee with chocolate cake and pistachios
D: butternut squash and sage risotto, roasted tomatoes, tender stem broccoli, glass of red wine.
Fancy some greek yoghurt with honey so I'll have that soon

I ate far too much yesterday!

B: a large latte and a MASSIVE chocolate croissant

L: leek and stilton quiche with roast vegetables

D: work Christmas meal out so had mushrooms on toast, followed by roast beef dinner, followed by sticky toffee pudding. Lots of red wine!

Today:

B: marmite on toast and a latte

L: pasta with pesto and spinach

D: beef and root vegetable casserole served with bread and butter

S: chocolate and red wine

Yesterday: B: muesli with prunes, toast and marmite, black coffee, orange juice.
Elevenses: cappuccino, a mince pie.
Nibbles before lunch: smoked salmon on mini blinis, crostini with green olive tapenade, salted cashews and almonds. Sparkling wine.
L: roast turkey crown, stuffing, pigs in blankets, roast potatoes and parsnips, Brussels sprouts, carrots, gravy. Red wine. Trifle, half a cinnamon bun, various bits of cheese with bread and crackers.
Supper: turkey sandwich, but I couldn't finish it. Two large mugs of tea.
Today: B: granola, banana, yoghurt. Bread and marmite, black coffee, orange juice.
L: cheese on toast, a cinnamon bun, tea.
Tea-time: tea, mince pie.
Supper: lentil and vegetable loaf, roast potatoes, carrots and cabbage, gravy. White wine. Apple and almond sponge with cream, tea.
Now I bet you're thinking, roasts two days running! But yesterday was Christmas meal with family, and this evening we went to friends so had no say in the menu - not that I regret any of it, it was all delicious.

Trying not to drool, Bloodybridget, and failing. (BTW who is Bridget and why bloody?)

B - muesli, flaxseed, kiwi, yoghurt
L - went out for lunch and had cream of tomato soup with dark rye bread
Snacks - apple and oatcakes
D - tofu scramble, brown pilau rice, salad leaf, rhubarb chutney (tofu scramble is currently my favourite meal when cooking for myself, as it’s not DP’s sort of thing, and he’s working late)
Two oat molasses cookies

I bought too much food so had to eat a pack of chicken today as there was no room!

Breakfast - porridge and jam
Lunch - 2 x bbq chicken chargrills with beans and cauli rice
Tea - 2 x bbq chicken chargrills and stir fry.

Snacks - malteasers and horlicks.

D: chicken and spinach korma with rice and poppadoms.

B: a bowl of rice crispies....my toddler no longer eats them and they've been knocking round the house for ages so I'm going to eat them and clear space!

L: cheese and onion sandwich and a packet of ready salted crisps

D: beef and root vegetable casserole left over from yesterday with bread and butter.

S: four or five chocolates from a Thornton's selection box.

B: fruit and fibre with banana and raspberries, toast and marmite, black coffee, orange juice.
Cappuccino later.
L: spicy veg soup, bread and butter, an apple.
Teatime: tea, two mince pies.
Supper: leftovers from Saturday, nut and mushroom loaf thing (bought for vegan guest), Brussels sprouts and carrots. A bit of roast pork from whenever. Trifle, red wine. Oh and a few mini blinis with smoked salmon to start with. Only cos they needed finishing, ahem.

Was she a strong character? Just guessing, what with the addition of the ‘bloody’!

B - usual
L - out again, parsnip soup with French bread (soup was underwhelming)
D - the other half of yesterday’s tofu scramble and pilau rice
Snacks - so far today, an apple, two oatcakes, a Roses chocolate

Ate too many jelly babies last night, so have to add that to yesterday’s tally

Haven't had a chance to eat much today (trying to gain weight) so going to have some combination of cheese and crackers/nuts/chocolate

L at a friend's: quiche, new potatoes, spinach and rocket salad leaves. A mince pie, tea.
Supper was drinks and nibbles with some neighbours at ours. Actually quite a lot of food! I managed two chocolate coins and a cup of tea after they left.
