Ok... this has freaked me out and I'm pretty chilled

(NC as I’ve text about this to a few people who haven’t replied yet)

I woke up about twenty min ago, funny feeling and went to check locks downstairs for reassurance (all secure).

There is a note on the kitchen sideboard, lined notebook paper and light blue ball point in blocky neat handwriting. It says:

‘This is your house Kathleen. You live here. David has the front bedroom and your bedroom is at the back. This is your house Kathleen and you can look at the garden.’

Really tidy kitchen, in the middle of an empty side. I went to bed last. Obv I’m not called Kathleen or anything similar and I don’t recognise the handwriting or even the pen ink.

Maybe this will be easier to grasp or solve in the morning? But right now I’m a bit 😳 and unable to sleep...

Can't see the photo. Obvious explanation, note for dementia patient found in library book and left in kitchen.

Preferred explanation , space time continuum, or op is in a coma and the note is the reality, like on lots of books I've read. This means we are all manifestations of the OP's mind.

But I have a cat so I am used to unexplained appearances of mystery objects.

Fish Smell electrical

Unless it is fish, this strange smell is probably emanating from a burning electrical component. Electrical shielding, wires, and other plastic components emit a “fish” or “urine” smell when exposed to high heat. If you smell something fishy, go around your home and look for outlets and other electrical equipment that looks burnt or melting

I can't see the picture, but this is exactly the kind of note I used to leave for my grandma with dementia. So this probably is more of a weird misunderstanding (and maybe a lock change needed) than scary.

The writing looks like a young person trying to write 'creepy' writing. Could it be one of your children?
