Ok... this has freaked me out and I'm pretty chilled

(NC as I’ve text about this to a few people who haven’t replied yet)

I woke up about twenty min ago, funny feeling and went to check locks downstairs for reassurance (all secure).

There is a note on the kitchen sideboard, lined notebook paper and light blue ball point in blocky neat handwriting. It says:

‘This is your house Kathleen. You live here. David has the front bedroom and your bedroom is at the back. This is your house Kathleen and you can look at the garden.’

Really tidy kitchen, in the middle of an empty side. I went to bed last. Obv I’m not called Kathleen or anything similar and I don’t recognise the handwriting or even the pen ink.

Maybe this will be easier to grasp or solve in the morning? But right now I’m a bit 😳 and unable to sleep...

Off topic but once a Tiramisu went completely missing from the fridge.
Over night
I was about 18 and my mum was convinced I'd come in with the munchies and ate it.
It wasn't in the bin nor was there any remains around the house.
We still never found out who the phantom tiramisu their was.
I do really like tiramisu though.

My kindle fire won’t take photos so if I was logged on on they device there would be no way to take pictures so I can believe that.

God do I wish I hadn’t posted this in my sleepy state, I knew the armchair detectives and insults would be all over it.

Attached is the picture.

Few points

  • no I’m obviously not called Kathleen, cos then it’s less weird

-if I was ‘drip feeding’ I’m sure I’d drag it out

-I doubt I’m the first mum of children to have an old semi-smashed phone that doesn’t have a camera working on it.

-as I said, one child is ill- I hadn’t rushed to this both for that but also dreading the comments. As I said I wish I hadn’t posted as it would be full of your a troll/ you’re a child/ half a billion reasons why as I’m not like the posters themselves it’s not true (really, does anyone need biros? They give the kids spider writing so I buy gel pens/ ink flow/ handwriting pens instead... and yes I like fountain pens.)

-someone may point out it’s not that neat, looking at it not it isn’t perfect. It seemed so last night but I was half asleep. And it is compared to kids writing

(If you can’t see the picture wait a bit, personally I keep finding threads lately of people claiming there is no photo, but I find it just isn’t showing up instantly for me. If you can say it please say)

Someone is playing a prank on you. Another member of the household or even external had the note written and then taped it up without your knowledge.

It's a good prank.

Maybe one of your kids brought the notepad in from a friend's house and that note was already written in it?

Btw I slept in a little, ill child wasn’t up early as expected after being up on/ off.

I’m texting DH, who’s already gone to work, but he’s just replied with his own long upset about why the kettle smells of fish and ignored my question before radio silence!

The kettle stinks of fish. This seems like a crap day already!
