Spicy chips
Singapore chow mein
spare ribs

What i wouldnt give right now for a chicken curry and chips from our chinese.......the salmon im meant to be making later might end up in the cat if i keep reading this thread.

And 5.30 is an acceptable time for tea.

I never really liked Chinese takeaway and would always just order egg fried rice if I was sharing with friends but I'm now a big fan of Singapore noodles (after a friends DM from Singapore made some)

I also pinch the cashew nuts out of dishes.

This is interesting because, having grown up in the North West, not far from Liverpool and living in Liverpool itself for several years, I read this article recently which says that Chinese chippies are a Liverpool thing. Most (if not all) of the chip shops I can think of are also Chinese takeaways and I just thought it was normal. DH will have chilli beef and fried rice, DD will have chicken and sweetcorn soup, I'll have sausage and chips with curry sauce ! Happy days!

There's obviously a very old and well established Chinese community in Liverpool and there are gorgeous authentic Chinese restaurants which Chinese people themselves tend to eat in too but the chippy takeaways are almost always Chinese too.

Sorry that last sentence was really badly worded!

It's fairly nationwide

In Ireland almost all chip shops are Italian owned and operated! We have a large influx if chinese people owning pizza shop franchises and more and more places sell both chinese and pizza from the one place :)

24 hours of thinking about this thread - I just have to have it!
Thai chicken chow mein in place of satay chicken but otherwise the same .
2 hour wait on delivery so H has gone to collect it.

I always have chips with a chinese, they do the best fat chips ever and the curry sauce is amazing! And 5.30 is not too early to have tea

I wouldn’t contemplate getting a takeaway until at least 8pm
But then we eat dinner late anyway and only really get a takeaway as a last resort/hangover cure so it’s quite rare.
