If you voted Leave, did you/do you want 'no deal'?

No arguments or even debates about Brexit, not wanting to start a fight, just want to count the numbers in a very unscientific manner.
It seems any deal at all is quickly falling off the table, never mind the easiest deal in history.

If you voted Leave , do you want 'no deal'?

If it's a choice between no Brexit or no deal, then I would opt for no deal.

When I voted in 2016 it was with the full expectation that the EU wouldn't offer anything that may encourage other members to think about leaving the bloc.

ginghambox · 29/07/2019 15:50

not wanting to start a fight
Yeah right.
I voted to leave the Eu, if that means no deal so be it.

KennDodd · 29/07/2019 15:58

Thank you. That's two Leave voters happy with no deal. 100% so far. I am just keeping count and hope more Leavers answer as two is a very small number for my count Smile

Op id say mn is very left but of course the very left want brexit, so let's say mn is very remain.

Remainers dominate all brexit threads, or drown out any leaver chat with endless questions.

So I don't think you will achieve much here really.

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 29/07/2019 16:02

I would prefer to leave with a deal, but given the choice between no deal or staying, I would go for no deal

KnifeAngel · 29/07/2019 16:03

Yes.

Sorority · 29/07/2019 16:04

I don't think you'll get a very representative view on here, as Jasmine has already pointed out there is a very heavy remainer quotient on MN.

Nesssie · 29/07/2019 16:10

Between No Deal and staying, I would choose No Deal.

Sorority We are here we just don't rise to the bait and comment on many Brexit threads Grin

KennDodd · 29/07/2019 16:14

Ok, so that 4 out of 4 happy with no deal. I did ask what Leavers thought and for no debate on Brexit so hopefully the thread won't descend into arguments.

I voted leave, by postal vote, after many a sleepless night worrying about the whole thing. I regretted it almost immediately. I thought the campaigns on both sides were woeful but I genuinely believed we would have a deal and stay in the single market if Leave won. This is what BJ himself said at the time. We've all learned so much since the vote. Obvs have name changed for this and will now change back.

BalonzZofloraHernandez · 29/07/2019 16:18

These might not count because it's not me.

But my brother and his wife both voted to leave, and both are actively hoping for no deal.

My BIL (other side of family) also voted to leave, but he would much prefer some kind of deal because he works in logistics and his job is reliant on a cross-EU supply chain.

So you can have two for, and one against.

KennDodd · 29/07/2019 16:22

Thank you.

4 out of 5

Not sure I should count second hand recording but if I count then in it's 6/2

I voted to join the EU so many years ago on the understanding that it was purely to ease trade restrictions. Nobody said anything about this developing into a United States of Europe with moves afoot to develop a European Armed Forces outside of NATO which as I understand it, would mean that the EU would tell us where to deploy troops even though we as a country did not agree with that decision. A move too far for me. I want out deal or no deal.

OverInfestedBadger · 29/07/2019 16:25

So given that absolutely no one was talking about leaving with no deal in 2016, or even last week Wink what did you all know that no one else did? twitter.com/peoplesvote_uk/status/1154411004371116032?s=20

Blowingthroughthejasmine · 29/07/2019 16:27

It's not arguing op, just pointing out it's Pretty useless to ask this, especially as it also seems.... People who have said they are' leavers' are added to some invested Remainers 'spreadsheets' Grin and expansive background searches are undertaken on them and then used against them.

Quite extreme so many leavers on here wouldn't even respond.

OverInfestedBadger · 29/07/2019 16:27

Not true RedTide

““The community which we are joining is far more than a common market. It is a community in the true sense of that term. It is concerned not only with the establishment of free trade, economic and monetary union and other major economic issues, important though these are — but also as the Paris Summit Meeting has demonstrated, with social issues which affect us all — environmental questions, working conditions in industry, consumer protection, aid to development areas and vocational training.” Source: Illustrated London News. Prime Minister Edward Heath, December 1972”

KennDodd · 29/07/2019 16:27

Oh, I really did hoped we wouldn't have any argument or debate. You don't have to give any reasons why.
6/1

Blowingthroughthejasmine · 29/07/2019 16:30

Surely it's important to let you know many leavers won't respond?

Soola · 29/07/2019 16:30

We voted leave and we want ‘NO DEAL’.

OverInfestedBadger · 29/07/2019 16:32

Sorry Ken

OverInfestedBadger · 29/07/2019 16:33

If people don’t point out the lies and hypocrisies then this thread will just be inaccurate, damaging propaganda.

Nesssie · 29/07/2019 16:40

OverInfestedBadger please start your own thread or join one of the 3 ongoing at the moment if you want to debate Brexit.

Let this just be a statistic gathering - No Deal or Remain vote.

Sorority · 29/07/2019 16:45

I'm sure there are many leavers out there but as Nesssie said it's a waste of time on here as we get drowned out by remainers.
Good luck with the survey Kenn

DullPortraits · 29/07/2019 16:50

@Blowingthroughthejasmine thats because remainers respond with reasons why we should remain and leavers literally give no reasons why we should leave other than to say " cos they won" maybe if the leavers let the remainers know why exactly we are better off leaving than remaining they wont get drowned out 💁🏽‍♀️

Nesssie · 29/07/2019 16:54

@DullPortraits No we don't engage because no matter what, we just get called ignorant/racist/thick etc etc Please see this thread for why we don't bother anymore!
