Is it ok to have unpainted toenails?

Just that really, I'm wearing sandals today and feel a bit weird/ unattractive.

Normally have my toenails painted in the summer but didn't have time/ couldn't be bothered so far this year. Wondering if it's ok or really minging/ unattractive?

I'm not trying to attract anyone ;) Feet and nails are clean etc...

Also never wear nail polish on hands but seems different. Maybe because I don't like feet!

I hate unpainted nails. I think feet look 100x better cut neatly with nail polish. I also think shaved legs and underarms are better than left to grow wild. However that seems to be unpopular here. Each to their own

Not unpopular, you can do whatever you like with your toes and your armpits. Seems a bit weird to care about what others do with theirs though.

That's not very practical, is it? We need feet.

It's not something I ever think about but now I realise that I DON'T like:

Long toenails, painted or unpainted.
Blue or green nail polish on toes (looks like monster claws!)
Toe rings (no idea why, just looks a bit weird to me)
French pedicures.

But none of the above would keep me awake at night.

I had painted toenails at the beginning of the week, but I am on holiday and did not pack remover or more polish as weather forecast wasnt great. But weather has been great and been to the beach a lot (as cheap day out), and now I have either very chipped polish on my toes or none left at all on some toes!

I never paint my nails it never even stays on a day.

My mum would say no. I say I don't really care! Sometimes mine are painted, sometimes not, sometimes they are at that tatty stage in between where half the polish is coming off (which I think looks the most unkempt actually). My mother judges. I carry on regardless!

I like painted toenails and I always paint mine because I think it makes them look prettier. But couldn’t give a shiny shit what anyone else does!

I hate polished toe nails. Makes me feel queasy. I never paint mine! I also hate long toenails.

What do we know about the environmental impact of nail varnish? My nails are unpainted, because - though I would like a bit of colour on my nails - I am lazy and can't be bothered. I enjoy the look of other peoples nails instead.

Some unpolished toenails make me very queasy.

I am not sure of any environmental impact, any more than all the paint anywhere else.

I'd think it draws more attention to your feet, which otherwise would probably go unnoticed.

It seems ok... no one has arrested me yet! It had been over 40 years since I had painted tie nails. I think I remember my GM doing them for me when. I was tiny!

I mean if toenails were yellow and thick it would look yak but mine are normal lol

The unaltered female toe( much like all the rest of her) is an abomination and should be dealt with.
If you are ever in any doubt about any aspects of modifying all parts if yourself, consult any marketing campaign.

I don't look at anyone elses feet but always have mine painted, I just like how they look. I feel bare without all my nails painted. But it's for me.. Other people don't give a shit about other peoples nails.

I had no idea this was a thing. So weird to think some people are judging others on their toenails!

Mine are painted atm. I rarely wear sandals but like the look of my feet better with polish on my toes. However I went my whole life without ever painting them, until a couple of tears ago, and not once did I consider that was wrong in some way.

For those saying it takes 2-5 minutes. Not for everyone, some struggle with it. Doesn't make them less feminine than you.

I'm into skincare, makeup, hair etc btw. I've never noticed someone else's toes unless they have a bright polish on them maybe. Otherwise, I couldn't care less what other women do or don't do to their own bodies.

Seriously? Are we in an episode of the Handmaid's Tale? It's a personal choice. If you want to paint them - paint them. If you don't - don't.

I do sometimes paint my toenails, but the “I struggle to see why you can’t find five minutes to do it” responses always make me want to say “nope, every single minute of my time is taken up with things I either need or want to do more than paint my toenails. Why is your life so empty that you have time to do it?”. But I’m not so mean as to actually believe that that is how it works
