Threw a bucket of water over the patio as need to put another line of clothes out.

After that I'm getting the frozon hot water bottle out the fridge and going to lie down.

Another humid day.Not too warm.
Summer in the west midlands has been cloudy and warm or cold and raining.During the 'heatwave' I realised I hadn't had to water the garden due to the storms.A few more weeks of storms/rain to come.
Sorry for those having floods so it could be worse.

Hotterthanahotthing · 03/08/2019 18:21

I think people need to say which area they are in.Over the next week there will be a divide with South East temps set to soar and the rest of us in rain/gales.
The grey skies in the midlands are depressing.

I didn't end up going to my relatives this week because of the weather and the trains being stopped. Going on Tuesday instead now and apparently it's still going to be showers etc and less than 70% humidity forecast - so better than nothing I guess!

I went to view an auction yesterday - it was ridiculous walking home afterwards. It was raining on the way there and was reasonable - the way home... ugh. There was no air to breathe it was so hot.

The actual auction today was lovely because the place it was held was an old fish selling warehouse etc building (I live on the coast) and at one point in the building my hands were cold. Was LOVELY!

Walking home again afterwards? Ugh! I ended up getting a taxi back after 10 mins as I was dripping and it was deeply unpleasant as because it's market day the street was chocka and it made it even worse. Not a bit of breeze, it was awful!

Hotter, where did you hear that? I thought London was going to be a tad cooler from Monday.

Becca19962014 · 03/08/2019 19:13

Rain and gales? I'm in rural Wales, as far as what's happening here for last couple of days no chance of that. Tiny spits of rain aside its been horribly hot and humid here again.

Tuesday was really the only break we had weather wise.

Benjispruce · 03/08/2019 20:46

Sitting outside now and it’s lovely and cool 😎

Rockbird · 03/08/2019 20:52

I've seen nothing about SE temps soaring. All the weather apps are saying more of the same, max about 24° and I'm in Surrey.

Emmabryant123 · 03/08/2019 20:59

To hot in my flat still
More bearable outside but I am struggling to cool the flat

Becca19962014 · 03/08/2019 21:19

emma same here.

RosaWaiting · 03/08/2019 22:27

Same here
And there is a takeaway food smell coming in from outside
Ick.

yulet · 03/08/2019 22:34

It's somehow getting warmer in our flat this evening, how the hell is that happening? Confused

JMAngel1 · 03/08/2019 22:42

Anyone else find hot weather such harder work with kids - the sun lotion, the constant changing clothes from swimsuits to shorts to back again, the filling the paddling pool, the constant pressue to have a good bloody time, the bloody wasps and all the ensuing drama, the shlepping the bikes out of the shed and back in again ad nauseum when all I want to do is lie down in a cold dark room.

OldAndWornOut · 03/08/2019 23:26

The weather forecast is for 25-26 degrees here (south east) tomorrow.

RosaWaiting · 03/08/2019 23:34

I’ve got 25c for tomorrow which is the same as it’s been....a pp said about temps “soaring” and I got worried. But it looks like similar all week or a bit lower, not soaring for London st least. I check weather by postcode.

OldAndWornOut · 04/08/2019 00:10

Yes, it seems tomorrow is going to be the hottest day, with temps dropping after that.

I'm always suspicious though, they seem to change it day by day.

Really hoping its cooler at some point; finding it really difficult to cope with.

Becca19962014 · 04/08/2019 09:58

Today has been revised to be hotter again.

CookPassBabtridge · 04/08/2019 11:51

Our forecast has been 20/21 which I can deal with but it keeps changing on the day to 25 and humid in the house. I wasn't expecting last night to be hot at all but it was mafting. Next weeks temps better be right..

CookPassBabtridge · 04/08/2019 11:53

My neighbours have just got back from a holiday in Wales and said it's been hot all week while it's been raining in Yorkshire.

Becca19962014 · 04/08/2019 12:33

cook I hope they had a lovely time and it was somewhere it was bearable for them and they could explore/do whatever they wanted.

It's amazing the differences in temperature in different parts of Wales.

I do love it here. Just not the weather.

Another day of it looking grey and dreary outside.
Reality is opposite. Still most people in shorts and t shirts.

RosaWaiting · 04/08/2019 16:01

I visited North Wales once, absolutely beautiful. interestingly it was 25c and sunny and I'd had lots of people say to me "oh, have you checked the weather" expecting I'd get cold weather for some reason.

I have just found out that one of the neighbours has - allegedly - fitted their portable air con by actually getting the glass panel cut. They have to put it back the way it was when they move so I imagine that was very pricey.

left them a note to see if they can let me know how they did it. It might not be true - heard it third hand so to speak - but I do often wonder how people manage in here.

Benjispruce · 04/08/2019 18:05

Sitting in the garden listening to distant thunder . It’s cloudy and warm but not hot. Felt a spot or 2 of rain. Warks .

LoafofSellotape · 04/08/2019 18:37

Was meant to be hot and 25 and feeling like 28 and was dreading going out as it involved sitting outside BUT the weather was kind -warm but dull with some breeze!!

Benjispruce · 04/08/2019 18:40

Absolutely tipping it down now in Warks/ Northants border.

Becca19962014 · 04/08/2019 18:57

We've sun. Again.

Benjispruce · 04/08/2019 19:12

Never heard of Wales being so sunny. It’s always put me off booking a holiday there. Maybe I should rethink.
