Threw a bucket of water over the patio as need to put another line of clothes out.

After that I'm getting the frozon hot water bottle out the fridge and going to lie down.

It's not been too bad here today, apart from first thing when I walked the dog and it was horribly humid.

OldAndWornOut · 04/08/2019 21:55

It was hot here again today.
Horribly hot.

I've not checked for tomorrow, but guessing it may be a bit hot!
Sweating like a pig.

Horrible here again today Sad

LoafofSellotape · 05/08/2019 15:05

23ish here but a lovely breeze to offset it. Bearable for me. Got all the washing on the line drying- one bonus of summer.

MadisonAvenue · 05/08/2019 17:21

It’s about the same here too Loaf, I’m
finding it bearable too.

Becca19962014 · 05/08/2019 19:24

Breeze we've had has been hot as well.
Still 24c inside.

LoafofSellotape · 05/08/2019 20:24

Just been sitting in the garden knitting, gorgeous breeze, just perfect. Hope it cools down for you soon Becca

MadisonAvenue · 05/08/2019 21:41

We walked the dog earlier and it was around 20 and really lovely.

Becca19962014 · 06/08/2019 15:39

Earlier it was really nice. Though when I got up it was 23c in flat (and sun was blazing very early this morning) it was lovely outside late morning and I enjoyed my time out.

Now the sodding suns out again and flat is almost 25c again.

We definitely hit the 19c predicted this morning (Yey) but it's much hotter now.

OldAndWornOut · 06/08/2019 17:32

Last night was cooler, and this morning, too.
Now though, its absolutely stifling again. Ffs!

Emmabryant123 · 06/08/2019 19:36

I want to see single figure temperatures again .
Come on winter!

Becca19962014 · 06/08/2019 19:44

old same here as well. Ffs.

OldAndWornOut · 06/08/2019 19:47

Awful, isn't it?
My flat is a tip, but I just can't be doing with sweat running into my eyes and down my back while I tidy and clean.

Becca19962014 · 06/08/2019 20:22

Temp dropped by .2c - rediculously overexcited.

It's really cool and lovely outside, winds building up.
It's the sodding sun that heating everything up.

OldAndWornOut · 06/08/2019 23:17

Its cooler here, too.
It really lifts my mood when I can feel the air blowing around my face and its refreshing. Smile

Becca19962014 · 07/08/2019 10:34

Yes me too.

It's going to take literally days of low temps to lower temp in flat. Still very warm inside here.

Supposed to be 25c again tomorrow. I've an appointment. I've already had an email telling me not to cancel because of weather as that's inappropriate. The building is like an oven at the best of times. Nearly fainted there last week, all they offered was a fan (not allowed to open the windows) which just made it hotter.

We've not had less than 20c in almost two weeks (and that's fairies estimates) and it keeps going well above that, except last Tuesday when it poured with rain but even then it wasn't actually cold. I know it sounds like nothing to some but it just keeps pushing the temp in here higher and higher.

Praying for it to get cooler, inside and out! Worried it won't even be cool in September...

Any suggestions for tomorrow? Really angry and pissed off so not feeling rational at all about it. Any help appreciated.

CatherineOfAragonsPrayerBook · 07/08/2019 19:27

Been noticably cooler here last couple of days, hurrah!! Saturday was horrible though, It seemed cooler than the previous few weeks and had even rained a couple of days prior, so I ventured out to the local Tescos when already not feeling 100% and underestimated how warm it was and got awful heat stroke, along with the most frightening migraine which would not go away no matter what I took, and spent all day throwing up and literally ended up drawing all my curtains and lying down on the bare tiled floor because it was cooler than the rest of the house and tge only way to get my temperature down. I felt extremely crappy for 2 days.

But now there's no mistaking that 'Autumn' smell in the airSmile although the trees round here are bloody stubborn and clinging onto their bushy green leaves and adamantly refusing to admit that Winter is ComingAngry Not one even faintly orange or brown tipped leaf in sight. When I see the russet colours emerge, I'll know the bloody torture is well and truly over!!

Becca19962014 · 07/08/2019 19:44

We've no Autumn smell at all. We've a lot of dead leaves on trees but that's from heat not temperatures dropping. Still higher than last year.

Tomorrow is predicted 25c by 10am.

Today's high of 17c wasn't correct, as we had a lot of sun again. Shop I went into had decided to turn off their air con as staff were cold and it was horrible and stuffy in there. I sat there spraying myself with water and using a fan, they even asked if I was ok - though someone told them I obviously wasn't as I was beetroot and sweating like a pig and why wasn't the air con on?

Don't know what to do about tomorrow.

Supposedly there's a weather warning for the weekend lots of rain and storms and events being cancelled. I'll believe it when if I see it.

LoafofSellotape · 07/08/2019 20:51

Boiling this morning, then lots of thunder and lightning then sunny and pissed down ,then so breezy I got all my washing dry! Grin

Very autumnal feeling here the last couple of days, we usually eat outside and chat but has to come in early this evening.

It's on the turn Smile

Becca good luck with your appointment today, if you manage to go. I had to go on trains last Summer heatwave and made it by having those freezer bricks you use for chill bags with me- kept shoving them down my top or between my thighs. Don't know if that would help you at all?

Becca19962014 · 08/08/2019 11:44

I've been. Was horrible as expected. Didn't sob this time, could barely speak, feeling dizzy and sick. Another lecture about being silly about the weather. I should, apparently, look at other possible reasons for seizures like little bit of anxiety or depression instead of blaming external things and more effort with mindfulness and wanting them to stop and lead a normal life.

I suffer with severe anxiety and depression which they diagnosed. I've been diagnosed by a specialist for my autonomic issues which get worse in heat for everyone that's why people feel tired and dizzy when getting very hot. Just I feel like that every single day.

I give up.

Becca19962014 · 08/08/2019 11:46

Fairies claim for the current temp is its 18c.

It's 23c inside. And that felt cool when I walked in.

Hmm
