its only for two or three days and then back to grey and rainy
See the thing is here it's been consistently hotter (even according to the fairies) than last year for at least six weeks some times by as little as one degree, last week by over ten. Yet it hasn't always been sunny. It doesn't need to be sunny to be hot, nor does it need to be grey and rainy for it to be cold.
20c for me in sun is pushing my limits. My diabetes is well out of my control as is my other conditions. I get the same shit in the winter - because of my EDS (Ehlers danlos syndrome) my knees bend in several directions and everytime I walk it's like walking on ice so when it gets to winter and actual ice it's horrendous for me. The chance of breaking bones is way higher than anyone else, even older people due to severe joint difficulties. Yet I get crap about being sooo young so I'll be fine...
How many times have I been caught out going out without a coat because it "looked" hot to find it was cold? Plenty. Likewise when it looked cold and wasn't.
Today I need to get food urgently. It looks like the dead of winter (it certainly doesn't feel like it!!!). I'll have to take my spring jacket so I don't get too drenched (as lovely as that would be I can't face comments).
helena last year other posters on these threads really saved my sanity. So many piled on me for being rediculous as our temps were "only" mid 20s and how grateful i should be (in reality it was much higher than that I now realise), telling me to see a dr as there must be something wrong with me and how I needed sedatives because I kept ranting/venting instead of being grateful. I won't go into what I got in my PMs.
