Threw a bucket of water over the patio as need to put another line of clothes out.

After that I'm getting the frozon hot water bottle out the fridge and going to lie down.

It’s pouring here too. I just went out to put some recycling in the bin and it was so refreshing.

I’ve found my people. We’re on holiday in Yorkshire. I was so looking forward to exploring, lots of walks etc. It’s been too fucking hot! It’s made me absolutely miserable but I’ve had to hide it and I I know when we get home we’ll get endless comments of how lucky we were with the weather. Give me overcast and drizzling and day of the week! Going home today just as the temperature drops 🤬

Glory glory! It is absolutely pouring down here this morning My clothes are on the line and sodding wet, but who cares!! It's cloudy and grey as well. The air smells of fresh damp grass! I have the windows open and its nice and cool!! He he he!!

No idea what it's like outside aside from grey but at one point I actually needed my throw last night (it's slightly thicker than a sheet!).

It’s been raining heavily all morning here and will be 19C max. Bliss!

Raining ☔️, windows open wide to let the cool, damp air in. Cleaning my oven whilst listening to Alan and Mel.

Took the dogs out for a walk whilst it was drizzling...half way around it started to belt it down

Now I’m having to lay on the sofa with a dog cuddled under a blanket on my stomach as the poor thing is cold

Its raining here and has been for most of the night, I think.. but its still hot!
Not as hot, but still fan needed.

Still need the fans on here too. It's definitely cooler outside but the house is still very warm. I reckon as it got so very hot during the week, especially on Thursday, it's going to take the house a few days to cool down. As said before, houses in the UK are designed to keep the heat in, not let it out, as a general rule!

Daily cleaning of mini air con has showed bits of black mould. Done my best to remove it, using anti bac but can't get another as they've totally sold out. God knows what it must be like in the parts I can't get to and I can't manage without it. Hopefully the anti bac will help sort it..

Went into shop and they had a portable air con which last week was half the price it is now (was £20 now just over £40) and people were arguing over buying it. It's much cooler now but I think people are worried it'll happen again. It's one that needs a filter so wouldn't be any use to me.

No fans or anything cooling anywhere here now. Not that there were a lot anyway!

I got rid of 99.9% of it. Will clean it every day properly with anti bac now.

Wonderful rain! Today's weather is so good, rain, fresher, a breeze. Still warm in the flat, I was out earlier and it was lovely, but much more bearable than last week.

So hope it stays like this.

yep still hot in my flat too.

I work at B&Q. No aircon (or heating in winter). Last year we actually got a fan on each pair of tills, not even one per person. So grateful i'm only part time. When I lived in Hong Kong the aircon in shopping centres was too cold for the locals, they used to put on cardies or jackets...

some employers really really disgust me.

Still hot here too. Bloody temp started going up again. Think others here have been cooking again.

It is fine outside but as I think Helena will know, the cladding on some buildings really holds heat!

Yes, my joyful cooling off was all too brief. Feeling too humid again. It's 17 outside but 26 in the flat. I feel tired and too hot. I may have to go out for a walk to cool down if I can get together the energy.

It’s really awful in my flat today, the heat has been trapped in and I don’t have a thermometer but it’s felt between 25 and 30 in here all day I haven’t stopped sweating. Went into a couple of shops earlier and B&M don’t have any air con at all, the staff looked defeated. I can’t even imagine how they’d have felt on Thursday!

And in Superdrug their air con had broken the other day and the staff had to wear long sleeved black shirts. This was Weds I think so extremely hot. They didn’t even have any fans on. I think it’s barbaric to force staff to work in these conditions.

@Becca19962014 you said threads end up being deleted about this subject, why is that...just ending up being arguments? I can imagine some people being real dicks about this subject.
