Yes, we fucking hate summer Pt 2

Threw a bucket of water over the patio as need to put another line of clothes out.

After that I'm getting the frozon hot water bottle out the fridge and going to lie down.

My portable air con struggled yesterday. My room isn't even that big and the lowest it could get the temperature to by the end of the day, was 26. Significantly better than outside but still hot imo. I'm up early this morning and have every window open to bring down the house temperature. It's still meant to hit 27 today. Tomorrow is the day I'm really looking forward to, max 22 apparently.

Morning all. Yet another hideous sweaty night. It’s a bit fresher here today, we had thunder and lots of rain at 4. Still muggy though!

Holidays with babies just mean all the work and caring in a different .and hence more difficult ,location .Cancel/postpone if you can .

It’s so much cooler here today. The pure relief

It’s still hot in my living room but at least I can go outside if I need to

I’ll be able to walk the poor dogs today too

They have got to the point where they could bounce off the ceiling and it wouldn’t look odd

Cooler here but muggy. Needs to rain,it's dull and cloudy. Rained in the night a bit and there was a storm. Better than yesterday!

The storm started at 6am this morning and it's still raining hallelujah!
Last night was hideous I had both my dc in my bed with the fan on us because their room was like walking into an oven even with the fan in there. It's 19 here at the moment but rising to 28 this afternoon and looks like another hot night too 🥵

Last night was unbearable. My bedroom was so hot, I couldn't sleep, ended up sleeping on the sofa.

DS also suffers in the heat, found him asleep half off his bed!

DP and DD are fine in it. It's just so obvious our bodies are built differently. I wonder why / how?

The fabulous tower fan was not effective last night as the air was so hot it didn't cool me but did dry me!!

Still hot and sunny here, I had hopes of there being a real difference today but the forecast has changed overnight from 21 to 25c, it was already at 22 just after 9am.

I slept on the sofa last night.

Cooler here today. Hoping for some rain. Must go out today for some food. Despite it being cooler was very unwell yesterday/last night so need to take it easy.

It wasn't as cool as I was expecting. Very muggy and feeling dreadful. Inside temp has dropped by a degree - at least it's dropped!

Originally it was showing as max 18c here today it's now 22c (cooler outside) and expected to get to 25c later, according to fairies.

It'd help if when I went out I didn't need to wear so many neoprene supports on my joints as they're designed to hold in heat so make me very very sweaty during the most reasonable of temperatures.

It is definitely cooler here today just wish it was better.

I'd say the so called severe thunderstorm at 2pm will not be happening..

It was horrendously hot last night but so much better today. I’ve got all the windows open and it is gradually cooling down in here. There was a huge thunderstorm this morning. I was out with the baby and toddler in the pram they were under the raincover and I was absolutely loving the cool rain falling down as I walked. I was probably grinning like a lunatic the entire way home.

Today is very muggy and I still feel sweaty if I do anything. But the weekend should bring some real relief so hold on everyone!

I'm actually doing stuff, I've already sanded the skirting boards and about to start painting the downstairs loo! Not even sweating. Car temp said 23 not 37 like yesterday.

Ah yes a housing association trying to kill off their tenants with heat stroke. Thirteen Housing Group have nailed tenants windows shut

The internet says it’s 23 here but I have had all windows and doors open since 6am (open plan) and my thermostat is saying it’s 26. So someone’s wrong! If I sit still on the sofa I occasionally catch a bit of nice cooling breeze so I’m not moving!
