On a more serious note if you are really struggling at temperatures in double figures have you seen your GP about it?

I am the opposite to you and really can't function when I am cold. I apologise if I have wound you up.

I think it depends on your definitions of warm and hot too. For me anything over 16 is warm, anything over 21 is hot, anything over 24 is too hot, so we've had pretty continual hot weather since Easter.

I can cope I just don't like it and get hot and sticky
Nothing is wrong with me and that is just another ridiculous comment 🙄🙄🙄
You really can't see that people are different can you !?!?

Emmabryant123 · 22/07/2019 08:50

Anything over 16c to me is warm
Anything over 21/22c is damn hot to me
Anything over 23/24c and I really struggle
I just prefer it colder ! Nothing is wrong with that

I am actually jealous of people who like the cold and damp and dark. As they are the main weather conditions in this country for much of the year apart from a month or so if we get a good summer.

I can’t imagine what it’s like to spring out of bed in the dark in November full of energy with the greyness and drizzle. I echo that I don’t meet any of these people in real life. Mumsnet is like a parallel universe.

Really? I know plently
Also this Winter wasn't cold it averaged about 12c
The sun and heat zaps my energy and the light and the birds keep me awake in summer so I'm more tired 😁

I do like summer - though not looking fwd to heatwave this week - but love autumn too, 'season of mists and mellow fruitfulness', using up millions of windfall apples from dd's garden, trees changing colour, crisp walks, cosy evenings, Halloween, Bonfire Night, the run up to Christmas.

Not to mention lovely thick (and cheap!) main-course soups using loads of seasonal veg and pulses. Dh would eat them every night.

All even better this year since a new little Gdc is due in early January - that's the one month I usually dread - so dreary after all the cheerful Christmas lights are gone.

The next few days are going to be hell. Hopefully it's the last of it though.

HeadintheiClouds · 22/07/2019 15:41

Amen to that.

Lovely word picture there, GETTINGLIKE. I can’t wait.
