Bloody pumpkin spiced everything. Disgusting stuff

Fizzypoo · 19/07/2019 13:38

I love autumn, but I'm not wishing away summer!

Summer is great, summer dress and sunglasses and you're ready. I have a really active social life in summer and love the summer evenings chatting in a beer garden with friends and locals.

Autumn is great, stationary and dresses with tights, I love bonfire nights and the run up to xmas. But I'm making the most of summer before autumn hits!

Sleepyquest · 19/07/2019 13:39

I looooove autumn and this autumn we will be welcoming our first baby so I'm even more excited for it!

MadisonAvenue · 19/07/2019 13:41

I can't wait for Autumn, Summer is my least favourite season.

Deelish75 · 19/07/2019 13:44

Although autumn is my favourite season (I love the colours and smells, crispy mornings, pumpkin picking for Halloween and then starting to prepare for Christmas) I am still enjoying the summer. My DC break up today and I'm looking forward to doing various things with them and we usually take our holiday at the end of August, by then I am ready for autumn.

I am looking forward to wearing my hair down - I have very thick hair which I tie up during the summer so autumn allows me to start wearing it down again Smile

HeronLanyon · 19/07/2019 13:45

Me x loads. I adore autumn. Also had really crap year with bereavement and dealing with estate as executor. House sale about to complete in August. I keep saying ‘bring on autumn’. This year more than any other in my entire life. Could not be done with summer more than I am.

HeadintheiClouds · 19/07/2019 13:54

I can say no to pumpkin spices, they’re optional. I can’t say no to temperatures of 30+ degrees which is what we’re threatened with in London next week.
I feel hot and bothered at the mere prospect. 😭

IHaveBrilloHair · 19/07/2019 13:57

The only thing I like about Autumn is Strictly come dancing

pheonixrebirth · 19/07/2019 14:03

I could read these descriptions of Autumn all day long, it's pure poetry to me! Autumn is my absolute favourite season for all the reasons above but it's also like a new year has begun. It's the best of everything!

Yutes · 19/07/2019 14:05

Autumn is my favourite

historysock · 19/07/2019 14:29

Me! I thought that just this morning when I took the Dogs out. There was a bit of a nip in the air when I got up and I got the cozy feeling that Autumn brings.

SnuggyBuggy · 19/07/2019 14:39

I'm also missing my boots and jumpers

Isthisnecessary · 19/07/2019 15:36

I miss my boots, and my coats, my scarves, gloves, wearing jumpers.
Getting in from work, walking home in the rain, getting home and the heatings on, the kids have put the washing on the radiators and I've picked up a curry on my way home.
The hot shower, candles lit in the living room, cats on the sofa..
Electric blanket warming my bed..
Bliss

No

ExpletiveDelighted · 19/07/2019 15:44

I only really like the early part of autumn when I'm still in sandals but can wear jeans again, don't need to put on suncream every time I step out the door, don't break out in a sweat doing housework etc, its so much nicer than the height of summer. I don't like it so much when it gets to dark evenings, coats and heating on etc though.

cardibach · 19/07/2019 15:50

I don’t understand when people say they don’t like summer clothes. Surely they’re just like other clothes but made of thinner fabrics and maybe a bit looser? I don’t wear anything radically different...linen trousers and a floaty top instead of thicker trousers and a sweatshirt/jumper...

TapasForTwo · 19/07/2019 15:59

No.
I love summer. But then I don't live in or anywhere near London so don't have to endure the London heat or crowded public transport system. June was a washout, and apart from today which is very wet, we have had a pleasantly warm July so far. Not hot, just warm - low 20s.

I love pottering about in the garden, wearing nice summer clothes, not having to wear thick coats, jumpers, boots etc, the long, light evenings, the summer events where I live - food festivals, agricultural shows, etc.

TapasForTwo · 19/07/2019 16:00

I agree cardibach
There are summer clothes for all shapes and sizes. I think some people think that summer clothes have to be skimpy.

lololove · 19/07/2019 16:04

Autumn and winter can't come soon enough. Hate summer with a passion!

RandomUsernameHere · 19/07/2019 16:05

No not one bit. I love summer!

Enb76 · 19/07/2019 16:06

I wasn't aware we had had much of a summer yet let alone can't wait for Autumn. It's not that warm where I am, and while I'm not in jumpers I'm not in summery tops.

I do like Autumn and I don't mind Winter but I'd be more pleased if I had all four seasons.

ExpletiveDelighted · 19/07/2019 16:08

Of course they don't have to be skimpy. But you still have to put up with being hot and sticky, suncream on exposed skin etc, early autumn is so much easier and nicer.

TrendyNorthLondonTeen · 19/07/2019 16:10

Summer can fuck right off.

Permenating · 19/07/2019 16:22

I usually love summer. But pregnancy, 30c weather and intense sickness/fatigue do not mix. I'll be very grateful to see the back of summer and have some cooler days!

SnuggyBuggy · 19/07/2019 16:25

Its days like this where its too warm for boots and yet my feet get soaked that make me miss winter clothes.
