I love a food thread and normally pick up some new ideas as well Smile

Breakfast, poached eggs on toast. Lots of coffee

Lunch chicken salad & party rings with the dc

Dinner later will be sausage and butter bean stew & a bottle of red for me and dh

Dessert home made strawberry ice cream ( the ice cream maker has turned out to be a great buy)

Bowl of cereal and 2 slices of small wholemeal loaf with marmalade.
Packet of crisps. Roll with ham, cheese and coleslaw.
2 cookies
Ham (using up weekend lunch ham) homemade potato wedges made with fry lite, coleslaw and baked beans
A yogurt and grapes

Late snacky and random breakfast of raspberries, strawberries, vegan cheese and a bit of vegan brownie

Ended up going out for lunch so shared with DH: warm asparagus, kale and edamame salad, some Ayurvedic bowl concoction, fancy pasta pesto with garlic gremolata and roast cherry tomatoes, all washed down with a black sesame, matcha, date and tahini smoothie

I’m stuffed now, plan for dinner if I end up hungry enough is leftover quinoa, pea and tomato salad with beyond sausages

And hair of the dog will shortly be calling so a g&t before the day is out

Reduced fat cheddar and tomato sandwich on a sandwich thin
A packet of hoola hoops puft
Chicken breast, Greek salad and homemade oven chips done in frylight.
3 jaffa cakes
Not enough water
Coffee and earl grey tea.

I like these threads, it’s into see what other people eat. Yesterday, I ate:

Breakfast: homemade muesli with flaxseed, poached rhubarb and yoghurt
Lunch: watermelon, feta and walnut salad
Dinner: poached salmon with potato salad in herb dressing, grated beetroot, raw courgette with lime and ginger, green salad with a slice de of banana bread for pudding
Snacks: two little flat peaches, two slices bread and butter, a few mini pretzels

B: Porridge banana yoghurt
L: small wholemeal wrap, home made tzatziki made with v low fat yoghurt, strips of dry fried lamb, salad. Two satsumas
Tea and water to drink.

Our water has been off or dodgy for much of today, so a lot of convenience food.

Muesli with soya milk, a banana and a cup of instant coffee (bleurgh but I had no way of washing out my filter if I made proper coffee)
Some udon noodle prick with a fork affair that looked delicious but the greens in it were bitter and the sauce tasted like sugary smoky bacon crisps
M&S hot chicken tikka masala, home made aubergine curry (both fished out of the freezer) and ready cooked rice for dinner.
Gooseberry crumble cake for pud (made yesterday)
Handful of salted peanuts, mid afternoon, because the noodle thing had left me feeling unsatisfied and with heartburn.

B: Plain Greek yogurt with strawberries, black coffee.
L: Breadroll with cheese spead and cucumber, an apple and a diet coke.
D: Bowl of miso ramen topped with greens and boiled egg.
No snacks or other drinks (apart from water).

I'm losing weight, because I'm overweight and recently diagnosed with high BP and a slightly fatty liver, but I'm not hugely motivated to optimise my foods.

A portion of chips and beans from the work canteen cause I forgot my lunch Blush
Tofu and pea curry with rice and lots of broccoli

Breakfast was a protein shake, made with protein powder, almond milk and banana. Plus an apple.

Lunch was a tuna nicoise salad with another apple.

Afternoon snack was a handful of nuts and raisins.

Dinner was roasted brocoli and cauliflower topped with some seasoning and parmesan, and a breaded cod fillet on the side.

My DH is trying to tempt me with an almond magnum ice cream but I go on holiday in three weeks and am desperately trying to lose weight.

I also walked 5 miles today. Go me! 😳

B- banana and a slice of malt loaf

L- chicken salad and a peach

A latte, a packet of prawn cocktail crisps. Loads of water.

D- probably won’t bother but maybe a couple of crackers with cheese, salad and chutney.

Breakfast was scrambled egg with spinach, peppers, tomato and spring onions with some chopped avacado and a dollop of hummus on the side.

lunch - Homemade Cullen skunk soup with a slice of bread and butter. I also had some chicken liver pate.

Dinner was chicken, potato, broccoli cheese from yesterday.

Snacks were strawberries and water melon

Not too bad today.
Only eat breakfast on Monday because there are free pots at work...Poached egg, hash brown, beans, tomatoe.

Lunch was salmon fillets , lentils and spinach

Dinner was lemon sole portion, mixed green veg. There's some fruitcake of questionable vintage looking at me though.

Dinner - salmon, new potatoes, broccoli, corn, watercress sauce and a side salad.
Snacks - nectarine, two big scoops of caramel ice cream and a chocolate mousse.

Some Pick and Mix
Chicken Kebab with chips (and LOADS of chip salt)

I've been "good" today

1/2 a bagel with marmite
Banana, melon, grapes, apple, satsuma
Ham salad
Fun size maltesars, 2 gingernuts
Boiled eggs, wm toast and spinach.
