I love a food thread and normally pick up some new ideas as well Smile

Breakfast, poached eggs on toast. Lots of coffee

Lunch chicken salad & party rings with the dc

Dinner later will be sausage and butter bean stew & a bottle of red for me and dh

Dessert home made strawberry ice cream ( the ice cream maker has turned out to be a great buy)

First meal after 24 hr fast
Lunch - three egg omelette with smoked salmon & cheese & couscous and 5 quorn cocktail sausages dipped in hummus (while waiting for the omelette to cook)
Snack - 2 flapjack bites & magnum bar 😬
Dinner - tomatoes on toast & marmite

B - muesli, nectarine, kiwi, yoghurt
L - falafel wrap from street market
D - broad bean risotto with chard, lemon sorbet
Snacks - some grapes, three crackers, a few sugar snap peas. And I think I may have to have some chocolate.

B - smoothie made with spinach, kale, banana, almond milk and flax seeds.

Snack - carrot and cucumber sticks. Nectarine.

Lunch - smoothie made with spinach, kale, ginger, raspberries, mango, coconut milk and pumpkin seeds.

Snack - 4 gluten free nairns coconut chocolate biscuits.

Dinner - prawn stir fry with noodles. Gu cheesecake for dessert.

Trying to eat less during the day and having a normal meal in the evening.

B- half a a slice of toast with jam and butter, 1/4 tin baked beans (fussy kids changed their minds so I had theirs)
L- 2 egg omelette with tomato and mushroom, some olives, apple, slice of ginger cake
D - will be Thai ready meal

One (dry)fried egg butty on wholemeal bread and brown sauce.
Post nightshift...pure comfort food.

Nothing else, just contemplating a slow burner tea to get me through another 12 hour night shift tonight. Probably be pasta something or other, generally fills me until I get home tomorrow morning at 8.30ish.

Lunch, chicken and cheese salad sandwich, few sweet chilli crackers

Dinner tonight I will be cooking sweet potato, chicken and chickpea curry with rice

Breakfast. Turkey rashers on toast
Lunch. Tuna mayo and tomato sandwich
Dinner. Chicken and mushroom casserole(in the slow cooker now) baked potato and crusty bread.

0% greek yog with seeds and blueberries, apple and banana

Ham, tomato and salad cream sandwich, satsuma, packet of bread sticks

Will probably have a bowl of sultana bran with skimmed milk around 4 and then tea is a M&S count on us ready meal tonight (288 cals) with some steamed leeks.

A banana
A few strawberries
A yogurt
A biscuit
A cereal bar
Mini twister ice lolly
A burnt chicken nugget
D- chicken,leeks and mushroom with tarragon and white wine with rice.

Grazed all day as couldn't decide what I wanted to eat and it's hot.
Decided to eat something sensible so rooted in the freezer and had an early dinner.

Night shift life:
didn't have time for dinner before I went to work last night, so
Veg risotto microwave meal at about 1.30am
Pack of ready salted crisps and a jaffa cake at about 6am
Slice of white toast buttered at about 9.30am
Between waking up at 3.15pm and now I have eaten a dark choc hobnob and 3 slices of olive bread
Will have pasta with roasted butternut squash, green beans and cherry tomatoes at about 5.30
Probably several more chocolate biscuits (hobnobs and/ or jaffa cakes to get me through until midnight at work, then it counts as a different day)
Drank water and tea. I don't even like tea but might well need more cups to get through this.

More tea.
Ham salad sandwich, packet of crisps for lunch.
Water.
More tea.
A mini pack of animal biscuits
Cottage pie and peas for dinner.

Get ready for my inspirational food diary!

7am - coco pops

10am - one caramel and one orange celebration chocolate

12pm - ham and cheese roll.. from garage. Salt and vinegar walkers. A twirl.

7pm - honey and soy sticky belly pork, root mash, broccoli and asparagus

Right now - fresh British strawberries

Mouth watering.. I'm usually a lot healthier. I just couldnt be arsed today.

Lots of water

Lunch - Greek mezze platter

Mint tea
Lots of water

Dinner - 12/15 Ikea meatballs with mash and peas, and two slices of gravalax

Breakfast: granola & yoghurt with banana and strawberries

Lunch: chicken and rice

Snack: salami stick

Dinner: salmon and spicy rice.

1 x latte

Didn't intend to have such a similar lunch and dinner but ordered my lunch at work before remembering I'd got the salmon out for dinner.

D: bacon and cheddar quiche, new potatoes, asparagus, green beans and tomatoes

Today...
B: Weetabix with raspberries
L: Tuna mayo baguette
D: macaroni cheese with salad

Also nibbled on some chocolate and crackers.
