As an antidote to the irrational hatred thread Wink. I'll start.

Tins of Princes Tuna that are both drained, and have a funky pull lid (not metal) that made me kneel down and weep with joy.

Can you use them as soon as you need glasses snakeface? I’m worried I’m going a bit blind and look bloody grim in glasses.

Hedgehogs.

Last year I had at least 5 regular visitors, this year I have only one visitor so far. They eat the slugs and look cute.

BearFoxBear · 08/07/2019 00:56

My little boy laughing in his sleep is the best thing ever ❤️

Rain on a caravan roof. I love the sound of it
Earthy smell after rain

A lamb skipping over to its mum for milk, and the way it’s little tail wiggles when it reaches her.
I can see them on the hillside from my bedroom window, so maybe they’re not really little, just far away Grin

snakeface · 08/07/2019 01:09

@annelovesgilbert Yeah I guess so. I think glasses are cute as long as they aren't as thick as milk bottle bottoms (I'm really playing to the more mature crowd tonight) unfortunately mine are really really thick and make my eyes look like pin pricks. If your eyesight is only just fading your glasses should be thinner and cuter!

MrsStock · 08/07/2019 05:57

@NCB2019 Thanks! I've since realised that at 5am they are less cute, but only slightly

Downunderduchess · 08/07/2019 06:22

Chocolate covered sultanas

MustStopSnacking28 · 08/07/2019 06:38

My one year old DS loves dogs (all animals actually) and has started waving to them all when we go to the park, it’s so cute!

Florencenotflo · 08/07/2019 06:55

@Blankiefan I haven't got my glasses on and thought you said pot noodles 😂 was wracking my brains thinking how they help kids swim!

ExpletiveDelighted · 08/07/2019 07:00

Contact lenses for me too, best invention ever.

When my cat is on my lap or next to me and they drape a soft paw over my arm.

When one of the teenage DCs leans in for a snuggle on the sofa.

Pinkarsedfly · 08/07/2019 07:16

Well, at the moment I’m eating blueberry and cinnamon porridge in bed, with a triple shot latte from our bean-to-cup coffee machine, while having my feet comprehensively licked by a Boston terrier.

My day has peaked and I’ve only been up ten minutes Smile

OldGrinch · 08/07/2019 07:16

My back garden very early on a summers morning, all the flowers covered in dew and magic in the air.

Playing tennis in nice weather

The nests of housemartins under the eves, and how they swoop through the sky

My dog slowly winking at me

New bar of lemon soap

This thread is really lovely!

I love the smell of freshness in the air that you get on spring mornings or in the summer after it has rained.

My cats also bring me a lot of joy just from being themselves. They are so comforting.

Happyspud · 08/07/2019 07:47

I got a pourer attachment for my plastic milk cartons on amazon. It’s changed my life. I can do milk one handed with a child in my arms and my little ones can now do their own cereal without spills.

nevernotstruggling · 08/07/2019 08:17

Lovely thread.

Grasshoppers in my garden. It's a new build and I laid the turf so took a while for wild creatures to rock up. Trimmer the borders last night and grasshoppers bouncing all over it. Made me so happy. Same with butterflies and hearing skylarks on the estate.

The first night I lived here I took the bins out and only heard an owl hooting. I was deletions with joy!

nevernotstruggling · 08/07/2019 08:19

My idiot cocker spaniel sneaking on to the bed in the mornings god he loves me that dog.

My baby mini Rex rabbit and watching dd2 nurse him like a baby. Best £ I ever spent that bunny

Driving home into my estate and seeing all the kids playing out on the green this is the first place we have lived that has this it's lovely

A new (from the library, so not new new, but new to me) book

Libraries are AMAZING.

You can go there and get 10, 15, 20 new books and take them away to read, completely free! And repeat it every single day if you need/want to! Mine also does magazines, dvds, cd and newspapers/periodicals too.

I always head to the new books shelf because I love being the first person to check a book out (although now we have this e-system so no actual date stamps...)

nevernotstruggling · 08/07/2019 10:05

Love the father ted ref...

StealthPolarBear · 08/07/2019 10:18

Ah yes owls. When we moved here I told DH there was some idiot making owl noises outside. He laughed at me for a very long time.
