As an antidote to the irrational hatred thread Wink. I'll start.

Tins of Princes Tuna that are both drained, and have a funky pull lid (not metal) that made me kneel down and weep with joy.

@StealthPolarBear - 'some idiot making owl noises' has absolutely made my morning! Grin

historysock · 08/07/2019 12:14

The sound of a wood pigeon cooing on our chimney. We had one at home when I was growing up and one in the house I lived in when the DD's were small, and now one here. Sounds like home to me.

Looking at my early teen DD's faces when they are asleep. I can see the small girls they once were and because they are asleep they don't tell me to get lost Grin

Dogs carrying their own stuff - especially when it's something random rather than a ball.

MrsTommyBanks · 08/07/2019 15:00

When my dog half wakes up to change position and wags her tail.
She is a rescue who has been with me since the end of March, and it makes me all warm inside to think she is happy even in her sleep.

Waitrose lemonade. I have to walk nearly 4 miles to get it but they still use natural sugar instead of sweetener, and it’s totally worth it!

The clitoris

Macaronus Duds? Tiny acts of pedentry, does that count?

lotusbell · 08/07/2019 22:06

Seeing my DS12 and his 2 year old brother together - very sweet to see their mutual love

vampirethriller · 09/07/2019 10:43

Bees
The sound ice cubes make when you pour the drink onto them
Bubbles
My daughters baby knuckles
Clean sheets
Crispy roast chicken skin
The smell of an orange when you first break the skin to peel it
Trees especially hawthorn, horse chestnut and beech

Cure for everything :

Salt water.

Tears
Sweat
Swimming in the ocean

Shockers · 09/07/2019 12:07

Cats. Not just tiny ones either.

StCharlotte · 09/07/2019 12:46

Greeper See, I'd have said "macarono".

Moving swiftly on... mine is having the house to myself.

And a hot bath with a good book and a bucket of tea on a freezing Sunday afternoon in winter.

And our deaf dog's surprised delight when he first sees me when I get home (as he obviously hasn't heard the door).

We are presently between cats or they'd be right up there with their tiny pink raspberry paw pads...

thethethethethe · 09/07/2019 12:52

Succulents and alpines. Gorgeous for no work, and flower for months.

Strawberry picking.

GrumpyMiddleAgedWoman · 09/07/2019 12:58

The look on my dog's face when we're training: intense and focused and eager.
Unexpected glimpses of wildlife - a hare running or a buzzard circling.
A newly mown lawn.
Hollyhocks.
A good cup of tea.
The first new leaves in spring.
Sunrise, when walking the dogs before work and there is no one else around.
A skylark singing.
Rain on the conservatory roof.
Paddling in the sea.
I could go on - I am easily pleased!

Fluffy socks

Perfect eyebrows

Bubble bath with bubbles that don't disappear as soon as you get in.

Clean bedsheets

Finding a top that, fits you perfectly and makes you feel so good about yourself (I now have two such tops)

The smell of sea air and the sound of the waves, gently hitting the beach, on a warm summers day when hardly anyone else is around.

In a forest with snow covered branches, when the sun light peeps through, followed by the soft crunch, your feet make as you walk.

Autumn leaves with a chill in the air but still warm enough not to need a thick winter coat.

ThePhoenixRises · 09/07/2019 13:24

Some of mine are not tiny - Sorry OP

Sarahlou63 · 09/07/2019 13:27

GPS dog trackers. Know exactly where the little buggers are on the rare occasions they disappear.

Awesome idea for a thread!

I bought a beautiful handmade mug from Etsy a couple of weeks ago and it's a work of art, I'm absolutely obsessed with it and keep looking at it. Having a cuppa in it cheers me up no end.

Nivea body mousse is the bomb.

Tesco Finest Belgian chocolate mousse = winning at life.

My cats. They are so cute that sometimes I clutch my chest and say to DH, "He/she is so cute, I don't know what to do!"

New bar of soap (@SheSnapsThenSheFarts you're not alone!)

When the sun sets and the sky is a really pale blue, and the clouds are a really pale pink. Bonus points if the moon is out, all silvery and gorgeous.

Bath bombs.

A good book.

Apple tea.

Recently bought some mulled spice honey from a food and drink festival. I have it on natural yogurt for breakfast and it's SUCH a treat.

Rain on the conservatory roof.

Morning yoga.

The smell of bluebells.

The way my boy cat squeaks for attention, and the little chirps he makes (it's a breed thing).

Getting books out from the library!

Having the swimming pool to yourself.

@MrsTommyBanks that is so gorgeous I nearly cried :)

Badcat666 · 09/07/2019 15:54

Sitting by my pond watching all the blue damselflies flitting round my pond and watching the frogs just sitting there in the pond plants and getting a lovely happy warm feeling inside knowing they grew up in my pond and made it to adulthood.... I wuv them I do.

My cats purrs and when they just want to sir next to me for no reason.

Cake and getting to drink tea when it's at optimal drinking temp!

My link didn't work! It's called 1000 Awesome Things

EmMcK · 11/07/2019 03:04

@SheSnapsThenSheFarts yes yes to the new bar of soap, and the excitement when your old bar is slowly fading away. I too have no life

Nat6999 · 11/07/2019 04:25

Going to bed & knowing you don't need to set the alarm on for morning.

Grumpbum123 · 11/07/2019 05:41
