As an antidote to the irrational hatred thread Wink. I'll start.

Tins of Princes Tuna that are both drained, and have a funky pull lid (not metal) that made me kneel down and weep with joy.

Bumblebees - I love to get as close as I can and observe their busyness, their wings and little legs, especially if they have little pollen baskets.

Jacksback · 07/07/2019 21:42

Pool noodles. A couple of quid but totally versatile. Amazing for kids learning to swim. Nice for parents to muck around on when floating nearby.

AnneLovesGilbert · 07/07/2019 22:05

A new book

Gimmebrow, the answer to my eyebrow prayers

The coo sound my baby makes when she looks at me

A good stretch!

HotChocolateLover · 07/07/2019 22:11

Swinging on my swing seat in the sunshine reading The Financial Times —HeatMagazine—

HotChocolateLover · 07/07/2019 22:11

ByeGermsByeWorries · 07/07/2019 22:11

Getting into bed after a shower with clean sheets and shaved legs Blush

GoBackToPartyCity · 07/07/2019 22:18

Hearing my speech delayed 2.5 year old say ‘hi gorgeous’ when comes into my bedroom first thing in the morning.

MusterTheRohirim · 07/07/2019 22:25

Getting into bed at the end of the day. I love it!

Hearing a seagull at the seaside.

The scent of jasmine in my garden when I get the washing in the evening.

HermioneMakepeace · 07/07/2019 22:29

Republic coffee capsules. Like Nespresso (and compatible with the Nespresso machine) but completely biodegradable packaging so I don't feel guilty about the capsules going to landfill.

I love that first cup of coffee in the morning when the DC are both asleep and I can plan my day in peace.

HermioneMakepeace · 07/07/2019 22:30

6am is my favourite time of day.

Me too @Laurie Smile.

StealthPolarBear · 07/07/2019 22:34

Looking out of my kitchen window to a wall of trees across the road. Entire window filled with green. We've lived there for 12 years and the novelty hasn't worn off. I love it

mineofuselessinformation · 07/07/2019 22:35

Truly weird, I accept, but freshly cut toenails!

Weepingwillows12 · 07/07/2019 22:36

Sweet peas. The smell of them makes me so happy.

StealthPolarBear · 07/07/2019 22:37

I agree acyially. And I have bumpy bits (medical name) on my upper amrs which I pumice off, the day I've done that they feel amazing. A little bit stingy but all smooth

sycamore54321 · 07/07/2019 22:46

Eating meals out of doors (and the corresponding weather). I particularly adore breakfasts outside.

Bicycles. When you think about them, they are awesome. Millennia should, someone invented the wheel. But it took so long to get to the bike but since they did, it’s fundamentally the same. And you can hop on your bike and massively increase your range of movement. It’s awesome. That and the fact that the sense of balance requires is never forgotten, once learned. I watched a documentary once about amnesia and the tests they did for true amnesia especially the cycling one, were fascinating.

Great thread! Reading from my freshly washed, line-dried sheets.

Pinkgin22 · 07/07/2019 22:46

I also like trees.

YesILikeItToo · 07/07/2019 22:47

A salt pig in my kitchen. Read about this on a cheffy website - they said i’d Love it more than a grinder/tin of Saxa/packet for using when cooking, and I do!

New this summer, a separate tub of sea salt crystals for salads. They’re totally taking my summer meals to the next level. Maybe I need a second salt pig to make them as accessible as the everyday salt.

mooncuplanding · 07/07/2019 22:59

I get great pleasure hanging washing out on a summer's day. When it is dry within the hour, the joy is intensified

Also, meal times with my dc. Just the 3 of us chatting about life

My dog's greeting when I come home. Never tire of that.

A g&t in a fabulous gin glass and lots of ice sitting in my garden

Talking to neighbours (makes me feel like I belong)

Suddenly noticing your dc have grown

allthegoodusernameshavegone · 07/07/2019 23:02

loving this thread & agree with almost all

DontCallMeShitley · 07/07/2019 23:13

Wood pigeons sitting in a pair on the fence like an old married couple still in love.
Cat snuggling up.
Fresh hot tea.
Melted cheddar cheese.
Clean sheets.
Clean hair.

DontCallMeShitley · 07/07/2019 23:16

Early morning in the garden before the noise begins, just fresh air, damp grass and peace. Ideal place for that first cup of tea.

NCB2019 · 07/07/2019 23:18

When you make the kids a birthday cake when theyre in bed and you slice the top off (to level it) while it's still warm and eat it all to yourself with a cup of tea!

IncyWincyGrownUp · 07/07/2019 23:30

Crafty afternoon naps in winter.

Sharing a pot of tea or coffee in quiet company.

Sifting through knitting needles and crochet hooks in charity shops.

snakeface · 07/07/2019 23:51

Contact lenses - without them I look like Olive from 'On the Buses'
