What is the name of my DS nursery friend?

DS is 2 nearly 3. His speach is (usually) very articulate. He has never really had "baby talk"

He has been talking about his new friend at nursery. He loves playing with her. He wants her to come for tea. That's great. Except he says her name is Pancake. Which obviously cannot be the case. So what is her name??

I can’t believe people think Pancake is acceptable when the Season poster got her arse handed in! Grin

Hey sorry I've not been back. DH ended up in hospital.

So I got chatting to DS's nursery teacher yesterday and mentioned "Pancake" and as far as I can tell, it really is her name!!!

OP thanks for a fab thread and I hope you're all ok. There must be something in the air as I've just discovered we have a baby Kiwi at nursery.

My DS used to call my friend Aunty Saucy (Sophie) and Aunty Licky (Nicky).

I was on the beach the other day and there was a child called Spartacus Hmm.

One of the mum's at school had a baby recently- he's called Spike.

Who the freak calls their kid.....Keith?

Rude! My grandparents did! Although my dad is nearly 90. I did go to school with 2 Keith’s now both mid 40s - it was old fashioned then amongst all the Darren’s, Christopher’s and Nicholas’s

I know a child called Rugby

Theres a boy in our village called Fox. He has the most beautiful Auburn hair. Normally I'd think that was a bonkers name but it really suits him.

littlemissmoomoo · 30/06/2019 23:01

@EmmaGrundyForPM My daughter is friends with a Jaccb, who has ginger hair. He was nicknamed "Fox Cub" (cub coming from the 2nd syllable of Jacob) as a baby and now, aged 8, he goes by Fox. Very few people know his real name!

@littlemissmoomoo the Fox I know is called that because it's his mothers maiden name. But with his gorgeous hair it is just perfect.

I sometimes get called fox because of my nippey wee face, pointy nose and pokey sharp teeth luscious red mane and elegant feline appeal.

Strikeout fail!
