I know this has been done to death and not trying to offend anyone so please don’t post if you don’t want to share: what is your height and weight? And most importantly, how do you FEEL about it?

I’ve posted this recently but to start I’m 5ft5 and around 9- 9 1/2 stone. I feel wobbly as ‘mummsy’ and under-confident 🥺

lose

joystir59 · 03/06/2019 16:11

5'7" and weigh 11st 4lb and am size 14. I feel great as I've lost 3.5 stone, and intend to lose a stone more.

shumway · 03/06/2019 16:13

5ft4. Don't know how much I weigh - never weigh myself.

moonpiggle · 03/06/2019 16:13

5'8 and no idea on weight..dont bother anymore but last time i weighed myself i was 12st 4lb. Size 14 and happy. Run 2/3 times a week so feeling good 😆

Fairylea · 03/06/2019 16:14

5ft 7 and 12 stone 8.

Yeah I’d love to wake up tomorrow and be two stone lighter but I love eating too much to actually DO anything about it. So I am fairly happy with my weight / body. My weight isn’t going up, it’s stable and I’m okay with that.

As a 19-25 year old I was a size 8-10 and I loved my figure but I realise that at nearly 40 now even if I suddenly became that size again it wouldn’t change my life and I wouldn’t be “young” again.

I think I have more issue with my age than my weight. Blush

youlittlecharmer · 03/06/2019 16:17

5'3 and 10st 9. Comfortable at 10 or less, put on weight from injury and lack of running and feel dumpy at the moment. Still fitting in a size 10 though, reading through some of these posts maybe I do have heavy bones!

massistar · 03/06/2019 16:43

It's all relative isn't it? At 9st10 I'm currently the heaviest I've ever been for my 5ft5 height. I know rationally I'm not fat but my norm is 9st so feel flabby and blobby. I'm 46 and it just seems to be getting harder and harder despite no changes to my diet and I've always been fit and active. Bastarding peri menopause..

Watching27Dresses · 03/06/2019 16:54

5’5 , 48 yo & 46 kgs
Probably could do with putting on 1/2 stone but I don’t have a great appetite & have a very manual job so hard to keep weight on

isseywithcats · 03/06/2019 17:09

5ft 6 8 stone cant put on wheight even though i eat all the wrong things as well as all the good things, and im happy with my looks just get pissed of people making comments about how skinny i am

StandardPoodle · 03/06/2019 18:50

5' 5" or thereabouts - I'm shrinking with age - and 8 stone. Been that basically all my adult life except when pregnant. I'm happy with my weight and shape.

Ringsender2 · 05/06/2019 17:46

5'2". I always seem to be 9 st 7. However, despite what the scales say, I feel like I've gained weight, am more a size 14 than a 12, and feel very puffy. I would like to get down to about 8 st 10.

With kids and aging, I've gone rectangular in the bod, fulsome bust has got more fulsome, and my bum has disappeared. A bit of an old lady bod. Confused GrinBlush

SmarmyMrMime · 05/06/2019 19:07

5'2", about 9st and feeling good. Aiming for a svelt 8st 10. Over 9st 3 and I start feeling soft in the wrong places and feeling my bum jiggle when I run!

BMI 22-23 is my happy place.

CliveTheCheeseplant · 05/06/2019 19:25

5 foot 4 and 9 stone 11. I feel podgy. 8 and a half stone is my happy weight.

Frenchfancy · 05/06/2019 19:39

5ft6 11st 4 Feel pretty good.

MumOfTwoMasterOfNone · 05/06/2019 19:42

5'8 and 10 stone ish. I feel flabby, full of cellulite and 'mumsy'. I would love to be 9 stone but realistically 9.5 would be great alongside being more toned.

BarryMcguigan · 05/06/2019 20:42

5'8 and 9st4 I'm skinny fat. I'm soft and flabby and have no time or muscle. I look ok dressed but could be healthier and toned

KangaFandanga · 05/06/2019 20:50

I'm 5'9" and 14 stone 4, 3 months postpartum. Lowest adult weight I've been is about 11st 4. Look ok at 12st. Aiming to get down to 10 st, and toned, over the next 6 months with the help of slimming world, Zumba, and Pilates.

brightbluesky · 05/06/2019 21:05

I'm 35, five foot eight and about 11stone, give or take. A size 12. I feel good most of the time.

All my weight goes around my middle and stays there.

As I get older I care less about the number on the scales, and more about how I feel. After years of being obsessed with the scales it's liberating to feel this way.

I do four exercise classes a week and aim for 10k steps because it makes me feel great, not for my weight like i did when I was younger.

findmeatyoga · 05/06/2019 21:16

@Summerflab we have really similar stats - interested in why you feel wobbly? My 'happy weight' is 8st 6lbs but I had a baby 8 months ago (and been eating whatever!) and was hovering around 9st 8 for a while, but now at 8.12 and feel the same as I did when I was 8.6 (and always wanting to get to my skinny/wedding weight of 8.2). Point being, I felt fat at that weight!! And I guess now, post-baby, it's not as important to me.

That said, reading this thread is somewhat depressing and has made me think maybe I should feel ever fatter than I do as lots of ladies on here have the same height and weight and feel flabby/mumsy!

spanishwife · 05/06/2019 21:17

It's crazy that people are saying they feel podgy at my height and under 60kg. I'm 65 and I feel slim and mostly toned (size 10)! All about composition of fat to muscle and distribution of weight, depending on how kids changed your body if you had them, your age, general DNA.

I hope nobody feels bad after reading this thread, it won't actually help anyone or achieve anything.

MrsHass · 05/06/2019 21:28

5ft 7 and haven’t weighed myself for ages as feel so rubbish about myself, but probably around 13/14 stone? - size 14ish - feel fat and crap.

Which, bizarrely is the exact same as I felt a few years ago when I was 5ft 7 and a size 8.

And is also the same as I felt 10 odd years ago when I was 5ft 7 and a size 22/24.

Yeah, safe to say my body image is fucked up, but realising now that it’s not what I look like and what size I am that is the issue...

findmeatyoga · 05/06/2019 22:00

Thanks @spanishwife ❤️

I do run and lift (heavy) weights so hopefully muscle is part of my weight! Not sure I'll ever get back to pre-pregnancy size - even though it's only 5ish lbs less than now it feels a long way off.

Also one with fucked up body image 🙋🏻‍♀️ years of eating problems will do that to you.

Myfoolishboatisleaning · 05/06/2019 22:06

5’4” and 10 and a half stone. Size 14, just as firm and far more shapely than when I was a size 8-10. Very happy.

Hadenoughofitall441 · 05/06/2019 22:16

I’m 5ft 6 and between 17 and 18 stone, it fluctuates. Thank you thyroid issues. It did get me down but now I just get on with it, I eat healthy, I don’t smoke or drink and I’m stronger than most guys so I’ll take it 😊

toffee1000 · 05/06/2019 22:30

I’ve never really had problems with body image. I don’t think I’m the sexiest person ever, and I know I could put a little more effort into my appearance, but I don’t feel fat or ugly. I do have some self esteem problems but they’re not linked to my weight or appearance.
