I know this has been done to death and not trying to offend anyone so please don’t post if you don’t want to share: what is your height and weight? And most importantly, how do you FEEL about it?

I’ve posted this recently but to start I’m 5ft5 and around 9- 9 1/2 stone. I feel wobbly as ‘mummsy’ and under-confident 🥺

OP posts:

5ft6 and 52kg. It would be nice if I could gain some weight to feel more confident. However I also have a lot of others things going on in my life rn and so it’s left low on my list of priorities

Also, I’d then have to buy new clothes if I did gain weight which I definitely cannot afford rn

I'm 5'8", 12 stone 6, size 14 and a quite exaggerated hourglass figure and like Damntheman feel conflicted- when I look in the mirror I feel fine (at the beginning of the day anyway!) but in photos feel I look really plump.

DP seems to like my body Grin so half the time I'm happy with what I weigh and then the other half I'm determined to shift some weight-except that so far I've lacked the willpower to do so.

I think the problem is that I'm used to being slim, but losing weight in my 40s (and now at 50!) seems to be so much harder than it used to be...

BogglesGoggles · 03/06/2019 10:03

I’m 5’10, 10st 10lb and I feel fat. All heavy and swollen.

Seniorschoolmum · 03/06/2019 10:04

5’8” about 9st 12lb

Feel good, I’m 50s, work full time, 10yo son.
I started running about 6 years ago and it’s given me much more energy. More optimistic too. Smile

Grumpiestcat · 03/06/2019 10:06

5 foot 7 and hovering somewhere between 10st 4 and 10st 8 - I'd love to chip my weight back under 10 as I felt more svelte then and not liking my wobbly tummy at the moment. Generally don't minid how I look.

Skyejuly · 03/06/2019 10:07

5ft 2 and 10st.

Biggest I've ever been but I spent my whole wanting bigger boobs...now they are the size I wanted but I have a tummy too. I want to lose weight but not my boobs. I think I'm destined to be tubby because I love food. My belly is so bad. I was 8st 3 after 3 kids but last 2 yrs all weight crept on

StopMakingATitOfUrselfNPissOff · 03/06/2019 11:41

5ft 9 and 12 stone 4.

I'm the biggest I've ever been and I don't like it.

feelingverylazytoday · 03/06/2019 11:50

I'm 5'4" and just under 10 stone.
I'm a bit conflicted about my weight. On one hand I've lost 5 stones and got fit in the process, so I'm proud and happy about that.
On the other hand, I still don't really like the way my body looks and suspect some of the damage I did from being obese for about 10 years is irreversible.
If I could turn the clock back I'd keep my weight under control, never allowing myself to get more than a stone overweight.

Angie169 · 03/06/2019 12:01

5'5 13.8 I am waiting for a growth spurt Grin

Ypsilanti · 03/06/2019 13:05

5’4 and 9st 5. Size 8/10. I’m a couple of (wine) pounds above my perfect weight, but anything below 9st and I start looking a bit gaunt.

I do a fair amount of exercise, including weights, and I’m a natural mesomorph, so I’m pretty toned, stomach aside.

Isn’t it interesting how different we all are - I could never be flabby at 8st (and in fact my periods stopped when I got down to that weight in my 20s - late 30s now).

littlemissalwaystired · 03/06/2019 13:19

5ft7 and 8 stone 4lb. I feel mostly fine.

TitchyP · 03/06/2019 13:37

5 foot and somewhere between 7 and 7.5 stone. I have a very small frame. I would like to put a bit on really but any weight goes straight to the middle. I am also unfit and not toned at all so just goes on as flab!

threesisters333 · 03/06/2019 13:44

52 years old
5 foot 5.5 and 8 stone 4
I feel I'm carrying too much fat. Never an hour goes by without me thinking of my steps, my food intake, my weight.
Both my sisters are the same

Mmmmdanone · 03/06/2019 13:53

5'3" and 9 st 10 lb. Would love to be under 9 st (in my youth I thought I was overwight at 9 st!)
I am small boned though (small hands, feet, shoulders) so i think I look fatter than I would if I wasn't so small boned iyswim!

Drogosnextwife · 03/06/2019 13:57

I'm 5ft 10 and 11st 8. I don't feel huge but I really want to lose weight, just can't get the motivation to do it. I've been saying it for nearly 2 years now and I'm sick of myself.

Littlechocola · 03/06/2019 13:58

5ft2, 43.7kg.
Would love to weigh more.
My top half is too skinny although I do have a curvy bottom which I love.
I vary between 6 and 7 stone.

MaMisled · 03/06/2019 14:01

I'm 5ft 2 and 8st 3lb having lost 4.5st and kept it off for nearly 2 yrs. Im 52 but have never felt so fit, strong and healthy.

Drogosnextwife · 03/06/2019 14:01

This thread has made me feel really shit, think I'm bigger than I though 😭

MrsBooth · 03/06/2019 14:40

5' 2" 14st 4lb. 33 yrs of age. Finally become somewhat content with wearing clothes that are bright / short / low cut / suit my personality not my body shape. Acutely aware that I am carrying a lot of weight on a petite frame which is putting strain on my system. Despite my BMI putting me in the obese category I don't 'look' that big I don't think!

Met OH last year and found out that we would need IVF to conceive due to a historic illness of his. So over 3st needs to go. Gave up smoking when I met OH and gave up drinking at the beginning of this year, so food has become my dear friend. Have put on nearly a stone since meeting OH. I haven't seen 11st for over 10 years!

I work away all week as a project manager so eat in pubs, supermarket food etc.

I look in the mirror and like the way I look, OH loves my body, I have no hang ups but the NHS won't look at us as parents until my BMI drops.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? Any tips and tricks to dropping the weight without being hungry all the time?

BearSoFair · 03/06/2019 15:37

5'5, weigh 9st 4. I feel pretty decent, I've lost a bit of weight this year and would like to drop a few more pounds to get to 9st, but I'm not stressing over it.

Alwaysgrey · 03/06/2019 15:40

This thread shows that I’m more overweight than I thought. I’m 5ft 5 and weigh 15.7 stone. I’m massive. Lowest I’ve been able to get after three kids is 10’10 but would be happier at 9 stone 10. Have geared up to shift the weight as I have a bad back anyway and look and feel awful.

Blankscreen · 03/06/2019 16:00

I can't believe how many of you are 9 stone something and say you feel huge. 😮

I know it's all about how you feel but I'm sure no e of you are big.

It has made me realise that I am very overweight and need to sort it out.

gotmychocolateimgood · 03/06/2019 16:00

I 5ft 1 so I feel huge at over 9st!

thinkofausernameplease · 03/06/2019 16:03

5ft 5 and 8 stone 10, want to loose five pounds to fit comfortably into my clothes again :(

TaytosNTizer · 03/06/2019 16:09

5’11, 12 stone 10 lbs.

I’d need to least at least a stone to feel at my best.
