I know this has been done to death and not trying to offend anyone so please don’t post if you don’t want to share: what is your height and weight? And most importantly, how do you FEEL about it?

I’ve posted this recently but to start I’m 5ft5 and around 9- 9 1/2 stone. I feel wobbly as ‘mummsy’ and under-confident 🥺

5 ft 5 and 11st. Ideally I’d be about 10st. My heaviest weight was 3 years ago, I was 12st 4 after my university year abroad which I’d found tough and therefore comfort ate/ate out of boredom. I then lost 1st in six weeks, before putting some back on when I went back for my final year. My weight has fluctuated since but hasn’t approached 12st again. The best thing for me is a combination of 5:2 and low(er) carbing. I’m not doing it for vanity reasons, it’s because I’m genetically predisposed to things like type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure and being a healthy weight will help me avoid them/reduce the risk anyway.

I feel ok about my weight, I’d just like to be healthier. I haven’t been 10st for a long time. I may well want to lose a bit more when I get to it, I just went for a round number.

Bluesheep8 · 03/06/2019 05:59

5 ft 6 and 10 stone 7. A stone has appeared from nowhere in my mid 40s. Am happy and look better at 9 stone 5.

MrsPear · 03/06/2019 06:43

167 cm and 63kg

Fat and flabby In all honesty

TemporaryPermanent · 03/06/2019 06:50

5'9" and currently 87kg. Can't remember what that is in stone. I feel good at this weight as it's about 16kg less than I was 2 years ago. I'd like to lose another 10kg to have a healthy BMI.

SuperPixie247 · 03/06/2019 07:03

Almost 5"1 and 6 stone 7lbs.

It sounds like I am all skin and bone but being short allows me to carry it better. I eat like a horse and have a right arse on me 😂

I fear it will catch up with me one day Hmm

thenewaveragebear1983 · 03/06/2019 07:17

I'm 5'7 and I'm 10.3 (although carrying a few lbs holiday weight at the moment). I'm an 8-10 bottom and 6-8 top. I feel like I could comfortably lose half a stone/3 quarters of a stone, as I have definite doughy bits despite being quite muscular from running and toning. I have lost a fair bit of weight through diet and exercise (3 stone/ from size 14) and for the first time in my life I am toned and have muscles. But I have never aspired to this muscular/sporty physique and still can't equate it with slimness. I think I will feel much better in my skin when I have come to terms with my new physical appearance and learned to appreciate my new shape (and dress it, because I don't know what to wear ever)

ittooshallpass · 03/06/2019 07:18

I can't bring myself to share how much I weigh. Was a very slim child and young adult. Was always able to eat what I wanted. Hit 30 and realised I couldn't eat what I wanted any more. I've spent the last 20-odd years in a constant battle of watching what I eat. I am now the heaviest I've ever been and at a loss on how to deal with it. It effects everything. My confidence is shot to pieces. I get changed multiple times before I go out. I never or rarely allow my photograph to be taken. Writing this down makes me realise how bad my weight effects me. I've been single a long time as I'm too embarrassed about my weight.

OneTownsVeryLikeAnother · 03/06/2019 08:02

5ft 4, weigh 12 stone, size 14. I have a very large frame so huge feet and hands etc.
I feel fit and strong and as long as I'm healthy I don't usually give a shit what I look like. Weight isn't something I've ever given a lot of thought to but every time I'm in a group of women, someone at some point, will start talking about diets.

Sparklingfairylights · 03/06/2019 08:06

5ft 4", weigh 8 stone on the nail, look too skinny though but am pretty fit. Everyone comments and not often in a nice way but have always looked like this so bugger all I can do really, I just don't eat very much...

ReginaGeorgeous · 03/06/2019 08:17

5ft 2" and 12 stone. I am five weeks postpartum and feel absolutely disgusting - fat and stretch marked. I go on holiday in 12 weeks and ideally would like to lose a stone and a half by then.

TheTurnOfTheScrew · 03/06/2019 08:21

5'9", 12st 7 and very definitely fat.
for taller women the recommended BMI range is huge, and as i have narrow shoulders and small breasts my fighting weight is much nearer BMI 21 than 24, which puts me a good 3st overweight.

I have met broader/curvier women of the same height who are lean and fit at a similar weight.

Adversecamber22 · 03/06/2019 08:26

I spent my life at 8 to 8.5 stone. Now post menopausal I am 9.5 stone I’m 5ft 5. I was weighed for a check up at the Doctors. I have been as low as 7 stone though and have I would guess an undiagnosed ED. I felt devastated when the Doctor told me this and I knew that was bad. I don’t have scales in the house due to my past history. My younger sister is an alcoholic and has starved herself to minuscule proportions many times in her life. Both of us were forced in to modelling by our Mother, at 17 I had to sign a contract that said I was not allowed to put on weight or have my hair cut without permission. It messed us up.

Lobsterquadrille2 · 03/06/2019 08:28

5 foot 8 and about 9 stone 5. I was 8 stone 7 until last year when my doctor advised me to put in some weight as I'm nearly 50. As in, perimenopause and osteoporosis risk. I have a bone density test next month.

So I do feel a bit chunky but preferable to my bones crumbling.

thecatneuterer · 03/06/2019 08:31

@Lobsterquadrille2 That's strange. Surely a better solution is to take calcium, maybe HRT and, most importantly, do weight training. That's what I'm doing for my bone density.

Happynow001 · 03/06/2019 08:38

I'm 5ft 7in and today weigh 69 kilos/10st 9llbs - my lightest for decades and happy with my normal BMI which originally had me as "obese". I'm unsure of my size now - used to be 18/20 (big boobs/hips/apple shaped) went down to 16/18 but not bought any new clothes for a while. My current clothes are pretty loose and I've lost pretty much all my back fat so I'm happy about that! 😁

NurseNancyandDoctorDavid · 03/06/2019 08:44

5'8" and 9st 10lbs, Age 51, Size 10, I feel good at this weight, would go up to 10st 3, but that would feel as big as I would want.

Marlena1 · 03/06/2019 08:45

I don't think you can really compare as a lot of posters are my height (5ft 7) and much lighter. If I went under 10st I'd look skinny but 10st would be perfect. I'm 10st 8lbs.

Marlena1 · 03/06/2019 08:48

@ReginaGorgeous be kind to yourself, you've just had a baby!! Get a few good sarongs and give yourself a break!

fishonabicycle · 03/06/2019 08:54

I'm just over 5 foot (obviously have some hobbit blood!), and weigh about 7 stone 6. I've recently put on 4 pounds and feel a bit chubby.

findmeatyoga · 03/06/2019 08:56

5'5" and 8.13 - wedding weight 8st and maintainable weight 8st 7lbs. Trying to shift baby weight (daughter is 8 months) but finding it tough. Still breastfeeding. Don't care about weight as much as I did pre baby but can't believe how many on this thread have similar stats and feel blobby. Bit depressing!

Justwantaneasylifenowplease · 03/06/2019 08:56

5'6 - 61kg. 20% body fat. Lean, athletic, good muscle definition but not bulky. Like being this size, but it's a labour of love.....

findmeatyoga · 03/06/2019 08:57

Oh I'm off on holiday in a week so trying to juice this week to lose 5lbs! I was 8.11 yesterday but had a semi indulgent weekend which has put 2lbs back on. Never ending battle!

Roominmyhouse · 03/06/2019 09:01

5ft5 and 13 stone. Even though I should lose a couple of stone I generally feel pretty good!

tigerbear · 03/06/2019 09:05

5ft 3 and 9 stone, which I think is the most I’ve ever been. I’m 41 and def finding it harder to keep the weight off, especially on my tummy.
I’m one of those people who has always been - generally - quite slim and eats loads. Now it’s starting to catch up with me.
I train with a PT three times a week, but I’m still eating lots, so am quite toned, but with a big tummy 😬
Would love to get back down to 8 stone.
Am hating summer dressing at the moment!

Damntheman · 03/06/2019 09:48

I'm 5'7 and 76kg. I feel conflicted, often when I look in the mirror I feel I look fine, but in photographs later I feel huge. Ideally I'd like to get down to 68kg, my second baby screwed over my metabolism so it's proving harder than it might be! Last summer I was down to 70, I was so close! But then fell off the wagon and shot back up.
