Although it hasn't got as hot as it was last year (yet) I feel like I've already had enough. I'm got hayfever, I can't go outside without insects getting in my face and I'm already feeling hot and sticky. I also want to go to bed and someone round here is having an outdoors party. Yes I'm a Scrooge, no I don't care. Roll on autumn and crisp sunny days and frost and apples and brightly coloured leaves (ahh, I feel cooler already.)

So hot here,no breeze now and my goodness it's sweltering!

Was 'only' 27 here earlier and really humid but thankfully we've had a huge thunderstorm so it's loads cooler.

Spent the afternoon in Mcdonalds, in the lovely air conditioning, with DS eating ice-cream and playing on the soft play

I had actual heat exhaustion, threw up, couldn't eat and couldn't cool down all because I stupidly decided to go across london to look at one specialist shop. Transport links might be great in London but it can be very tedious getting from one side of the river to the other - South to North.

The heat! And the lack of bloody decent lifts going up and down steps between stations.

And the London buses. They are horrific in summer. I don't know what buses are all like in the rest of the country, but the modern London ones either don't have windows that open, or this useless little flap that opens at the top and does nothing, you don't feel the breeze. If you sit near the window it's like sitting in a greenhouse!! The windowless ones have air con but its a piddling little flow, you barely feel it.

I still feel weak this morning. Please god let that be the last very hot day.

BBC claiming it's 20 here today. Feels just as hot as yesterday to me already.

Why are people saying please let that be the last hot day? It's still June......we've got July, August, September to get through yet. I mean, I'm defo in the please god camp but it's highly unlikely to be the last we see of the sun.

Because for me I can't bear the thought of another three months of a possibility of 30c+ and accompanying seziures and illness, I've been dreading temperatures getting to what they actually have (as opposed to what various weather apps have claimed) in the last week for months.

I feel ill at 20c. Never mind 30c+.

Despite equipment measuring it as 16c here today it still feels very hot due to humidity and I ended up being ill when I went out. Again.

Oh God you poor thing,it's actually chilly here tonight. I cannot believe last night it was so unbearable. I've just shut all the doors and windows . I hope it cools down for you soon.

It seems cooler now, but that's probably because it's finally bloody dark!

How's everyone? I slept so well and heavily after such awful sleep over the weekend. Beautifully cool and breezy here,apart from awful hayfever today all is good.

Like loaf the pollen level is not great but with three meds and air we can still at least go about the day 😂

It was sunny and warm when I walked the dog first thing which was really disappointing as the forecast was giving a high of 17 for today but it felt higher than that at 8am. It's clouded over since and feels so much more comfortable.
Long may it last.

It was still hot here today. Had chest pain which started Sunday and still getting it on and off now

Had it last summer too.

Very sunny here yesterday and today.Went out for a walk at 8pm by the beach, car like an oven driving there and just a flimsy dress on. It was a pleasant walk but no need for a cardi and little breeze even off the waves. People still lying in bikinis and trunks on the beach.

Weather forecast says it is 17 degrees at present but it's baking outside my kitchen door and the carbon monxide alarm which also has a thermometer in it is reading 30 degrees by the kitchen door.

Still I just console myself with the fact it is nowhere near as bad as the unrelenting heat of last summer.
