Where did your screen name come from?

Just curious how people choose their names and if they have any meaning. I'm a regular name changer (although I never announce the name change, feels like it defeats the purpose somewhat!) and have been on mumsnet for a couple of years.

My current one is a line from Judge Judy, I thought it was time for a change and that was the next thing i heard on the telly. I realised that it might seem like my DPs left me afterwards but that got me thinking, where do others get their names from. Anyone care to share?

Mine is a song, but actually it turns out it isnt the name of the song after all.

Mine is the title of a song that I love and I have also experienced some remorse after whiskey.

Thought of it during a mega marathon of Hey Duggee and due to being slightly hysterical from said Hey Duggee marathon, I couldn’t stop sniggering. And a name change was born.

Named after one of my favourite songs - Victoria Wood’s ballad of Freda and Barry (and because “beat me on the bottom with a woman’s weekly” was too long for a username)

My latest is my grandmother's christian names, she was fond of telling me that her father "was a dutchman". I remember thinking the name Alida (she pronounced it ar-leedar) sounded terribly exotic when I was a child.

Mine is the name of a song by a band called Redd Kross who are a bit obscure I suppose. I liked them a lot back in day but the name is a bit daft. Could do with a new one.
