Where did your screen name come from?

Just curious how people choose their names and if they have any meaning. I'm a regular name changer (although I never announce the name change, feels like it defeats the purpose somewhat!) and have been on mumsnet for a couple of years.

My current one is a line from Judge Judy, I thought it was time for a change and that was the next thing i heard on the telly. I realised that it might seem like my DPs left me afterwards but that got me thinking, where do others get their names from. Anyone care to share? Smile

From MN. Someone’s phone autocorrected custard creams to mustard screams and it made me laugh for about 3 weeks.

HappyPunky · 01/05/2019 08:37

I changed mine at Halloween as I'd had the previous name for a couple of years. It's what DD called carved Halloween pumpkins

They went wild on the veg . Grin

It's nice and sweary.
The Fifth Cunt in Spanish. It should say coño but MN doesn't accept the ñ.
Ñ-phobic Grin
It means the middle of nowhere/back of beyond.
Most people shorten it to elQ or Quinto, it makes my day if I've been called Conyo (on MN!)

The name of a street I mis-remembered from a Dutch children's TV series.

RadioMeinRadio · 01/05/2019 08:51

It's a line from the latest song by my favourite band Rammstein.

Theonewiththecat · 01/05/2019 08:54

I have 3 screen names.

This one - because I have a cat
Another one - because of the snapped and darted thread
Another one - because that's what DH calls me

From Wreck It Ralph, when the Disney princesses stare into water the music swells up and they get to sing a song - but it has to be important water. m.youtube.com/watch?v=Yirc35yIjfc

3 1/2 cats (one is currently at my daughter’s student house on loan to deal with a mouse problem), plus a regular stray, it rare for me not to have a cat on my lap as soon as I sit down hence Covered in Cat Hair.
