Prompted or inspired by another thread, I miss early 2000 Monsoon for beautiful dresses, 1990s Next for work (mainly), and going back in time C&A and littlewoods for uniform and school coats (my mum bought those though :) ) and the Marshall Ward catalogue my mum used to get for summer holiday stuff. Coppernob!

AmphetamineGazelle · 22/04/2019 18:41

Pilot. Regularly still wearing a black mini skirt bought 20 years ago. Dyed several times but it's going strong.

Terramirabilis · 22/04/2019 18:41

I didn't know half these places were gone! Morgan and Kookai were the cool places to shop when I was a teen. Needless to say I didn't own anything from there!

BiBiBirdie · 22/04/2019 18:42

Bay Trading and Kookai, great for kooky, indie girls like me back in the day.
I liked Pilot and Mark One too (but not the communal changing rooms)
And Now Bangles for accessories, Claire's is 3 times the price and shite with it.

yorkshirepud44 · 22/04/2019 18:42

Dolcis and ravel. Do Nine West still exist, come to think of it?

White stuff as it was 10 years ago. Beautiful, quality knitwear and pretty tops before it went all per una.

Kew, principles too.

rubyslippers · 22/04/2019 18:42

Red or Dead for shoes

TooMinty · 22/04/2019 18:43

Just had a look at the Kookai website, I think I'm too old to wear their clothes now, better throw out my top and dress! I didn't realise they went online after their high street shops closed.

dontcallmelen · 22/04/2019 18:44

Oh yes forgotten Woolworths baby/children’s wear was actually very good.
Bay Trading, I had some brilliant shift dresses from them lasted for years.

weediva · 22/04/2019 18:44

Jeffrey Rogers, Bay trading and from way back when had pocket money what everyone wants (was mega cheap!!)

Offallycheap · 22/04/2019 18:44

Richard Shops, Wallis like it used to be, and Principles.

PetrichorRain · 22/04/2019 18:45

@BikeSkiRun, oh yes, Kew! I had loads of lovely things from there.

dontcallmelen · 22/04/2019 18:46

I think you can get Nine West in HoF & John Lewis I think, I have a lovely pair of leopard print heels from Nine West a couple of years ago.

Connieston · 22/04/2019 18:47

Ahhh Woollies ladybird plimsolls!

I had some nice things from Coast and East too. Feeling a bit sad now!

SeptemberIssue · 22/04/2019 18:49

I really miss old Jaeger! The stuff was fantastic & was where I got my “first ever” proper work suit. I thought i was the business. The quality has yet gone down hill now & they’ve closed all of their Scottish stores! 🤨

CatsForLife · 22/04/2019 18:49

I second Red or Dead

RevealTheLegend · 22/04/2019 18:50

I cam on to say Tammy Girl, and the figure I had back then.

OrdinarySnowflake · 22/04/2019 18:51

I pulled out an old vest top from Bay Trading the other week, and it honestly looked as good as many I bought last summer. Most of their clothes were shit, but the vest tops were fabulous.

Connieston · 22/04/2019 18:57

Clockhouse was cool. And weirdly yes I remember the skiwear from C&A because me and my siblings ended up with bright yellow ski jackets as winter coats one year which probably looked a bit weird but they were v cosy. The closest we got to the piste was the Tonibell van.

Tammy girl was wonderful.

I've still got Primark bits from 15 years back. I don't tend to shop there now but those old tops do last.

Republic!

Connieston · 22/04/2019 19:01

Richards seemed v grown up to me. I think it went poot before I was old enough to purchase.

Richard Shops (is full of pretty things). Had loads of lovely things from there.
Also a chain called Solo which was around for a while in the 80s.

Snob too.

BestIsWest · 22/04/2019 19:03
